Why haven't Obama's ads tied McCainus to the Chimp
and pointed out that the two are joined at the hip? Without being directly negative, reminding the electorate that Pretzeldent 28% and Grampy are the same side of the same coin would have to redound to Obama's benefit.

1. My biggest complaint with his campaign have been the commercials.
90% of us could come up with better ideas.

It's really quite embarrassing.

2. I've no doubt they will come late September/early October.
He's already stumped it several times.

It's too early to really smack at the opposition; the sting needs to last through November.

4. Don't worry.
After the conventions we'll see plenty of it.

This is a distance run - have to save something up for the final push coming in on the finish line.

7. OMG!! He's been doing that!
He's got ads running in certain swing states that do just that.

Obama has a website where you can find out what's really going on with the campaign.

11. He has been doing that. He had been connecting Bush to McCain.
He has been doing that from the very beginning of this presidential champaign. He has been saying that McCain has agreed with Bushes policies 95% of the time.

12. There was a hilarious ad running in Virginia
a couple of months ago. It was set to the old Patty Duke Show opening theme. "They look alike, they act alike, sometimes they sound alike...you could lose your mind. They're cousins, they're two of a kind"!
Twas brilliant.

13. I also haven't seen many ads talking about McCains flip flopping
The one's I've seen aren't that great. I've come up better ads in my head. Obama could completely devastate McCain on the flip flopping thing if he wanted to.

Um.. do you watch any Obama ads?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KYSeGl4bks

If the war is weighing on the American economy, Obama's ad suggests, McCain stands hand-in-hand with President Bush on both.

With a TV ad tailored for 16 "battleground'' states, the Obama ad throws an imaginary book at McCain: It opens with a cover-picture of Economics, by John McCain.

And it flips through the chapters: "Supported George Bush 95 percent of the time... Spending $10 billion a month in Iraq... Record oil prices... Giving Iraq a $79 billion oil surplus... That hurts our economy.''

"Barack Obama's plan: End the war responsibly,'' the ad's narrator states. "Better schools. No more tax breaks for oil companies. Barack Obama ... the Middle Class first.''

This places Obama and McCain on somewhat of a level playing field, with the McCain campaign running an ad in battleground states calling the Democratic candidate "not ready to lead.''

18. I do
but I haven't seen several of these. I've seen a lot of his "uplift" ads on Olympic coverage; perhaps he is targeting the other ads to specific states like MI, OH, FL and other battleground states. I suspect that he is sniping on the state level and maintaining a more positive focus in national ads, at least at this point.

16. The McCain Economics book ad
said "Forward by George W. Bush" on the book's cover. I thought it was quite funny, though it was a bit too subtle I guess.
