National DU Meetup (in Denver during the DNC Convention) - Wednesday August 27th, 7pm at Racine's

I have made the arrangements with the great people at Racine's to have a long table of 15 each side (up to 30 people) for our DU meetup next Wednesday night!!!

All who comes to Denver as delegates, or as DU representatives are cordially invited!

NOTE: This is all seperate checks with 20% tip on top of it - and their menu is variety of different food for everyone:

I was at the Boston DU meetup at the last convention, and it was terrific. That liar-pants-on-fire vehicle kept on driving by, and eventually the driver came in and met us.



I also got to meet Skinner, EarlG and other big DUers. Wonderful time.

I remember everyone jumping out the big open window when the "Pants on Fire" truck cruised the block as well.. There were a Lot of DUrs there, wish I could make this one, but unfortunately I'm so poor I can't Pay Attention :)

2. I love Racine's - it's BIG and it's friendly and the food is wonderful...

Make SURE you get a burrito and have them smother it with GREEN CHILI -
It will light you up and you'll swear you died and went to heaven.

Before heading to Invesco - swing past "Jack and Grills" a little Mexican joint minutes from Invesco on Federal Blvd.
Try the fajitas or again get a burrito and a bowl of green chili - it's smokin' - everything is homemade including the salsa's.
The Green Chile is to die for.

But I wrecked my good knee this last weekend, and I'm gimping through this Sunday's DNC Marketplace at Civic Center Park. Doc is already unhappy with me for going through with that, but we paid for our space and it's not refundable. Anyhow, if I survive Sunday I'll really make an effort to be at Racine's. Of course, if you're at the Marketplace on Sunday, stop by and say hello -- look for my avatar critter on shirts, etc. Very much looking forward to meeting fellow DUers (which is kind of redundant for the city where University of Denver usually goes by DU...)
