Bush III may really want LIEberman or Ridge, but he saw how that was received and now Mittey looks "better" as the the non-thinking, non-science party of $$$ will have someone who at leasts says that his is anti-choice.

Crushing Mittey will be fun, but oh watching the fireworks with LIEberman on the ticket would be so much more fun.

Watching the GOP implode and watching Biden/VP Nominee squash LIEberman would make my year.

And oh yeah, Obama wins the White House.

How can ya top that???

1. I think
If McCain seances he cannot close the deal with the religious right..he will pick Lieberman. He would bring some Dems to McCain..and it would make for lots of news coverage .

It would also make for a lot of who really reaches across party lines commercials.

2. I'm not so sure. McCain is really convinced of his own wonderfulness.

And the tall, urbane, attractive, wealthy-on-his-own-account Romney sticks in Old Man Cranky's craw. He doesn't like Romney. He wants his VP to be someone that thinks McCain hung the moon.

He should pick Romney, but he probably will not. I can't imagine him being able to fake his way through announcing Romney as his choice. And don't forget, Romney is about two feet taller than McCain. I suspect that McCain's short list is made up of short men.

He'd love to pick Lieberman, and I hope he does. He'd love to pick Ridge, and that would be a disaster, too. There are no good picks for McCain. He will piss off the fundies, no matter who he picks, unless it's Pawlenty.

7. I will go on the record ...
I don't like BOs chances if Mittens is on the ticket ...

I think the rest of them are back benchers and BO can/should win if it is not Romney ...

1) The fundies are going to get in line behind whoever it is ... McCain could pick Jeffrey Dalmer and they will get in line ... It NEVER has been about "religion" it ALWAYS has been about politics ...
2) The media has been remaking Romney in a very big way ... They WANT HIM, and they will salivate all over him as VP ...
3) Romney is the ONLY VP who can take the age off of McCain - he is not that much younger, but is so much more lifelike (admittedly in a Ken Doll sort of way) ... He will be HAILED as McCain's economic guru to McCains international guru, and be cast as the PERFECT ticket ...

IMO, this decision will show just how pathetic McCain is or isn't ... I agree that he hates the guy with a passion ... IF he has ANY level of reason he gets past the ego and picks Romney ... If he can't get past his ego, he goes another direction ...

3. Also, Lieberman knows he has nothing to lose. Ms. Nancy has
made it pretty clear he's dead meat to her and other Dems anyway, his chairmanships are gone. I pray for Joe Lie to be the VP. Ah, good times a comin'.....
