Nader predicts Obama to pick Clinton
Source: Politico.com

Count Ralph Nader as unimpressed by the crop of supposed finalists to be Barack Obama’s running mate.

“I don’t think he’s that dumb,” said Nader, commenting on widespread speculation that Obama’s choices are down to Sens. Joe Biden, Evan Bayh, or Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine.

The smart pick, according to Nader, is Hillary Rodham Clinton. Nader phoned into Politico Tuesday afternoon to offer his prediction that a surprise nod to Clinton is actually what Obama has in store—never mind the talk of mistrust between the Clintons and Obama.

9. Nader is making the rational choice. I haven't sense much common sense from Obama recently.
If he was playing it smart, he would be recycling "Morning in America" from 1984----talk about how bad the economy is now under Bush and promise that he will turn things around. Talk about how bad the world is under Bush and promise he will turn things around. Forget negative campaigning about McCain. Let McCain be associated with all the negativity. Obama would be straight FDR "Happy Days Are Here Again."

He has Hollywood on his side. There should be lots of professionals available to write and produce those ads. I am not a professional, but if they need any script ideas, I am available. I can do a better job than I have see so far.

:hi:

Re: Hillary, Obama is not going to get a lot of support out of the Republicans and Independents from the South/East/North, because those of them who would vote for a Black are already Democrats. He will be able to get the votes of some Ind./Rep. from the west where there are fewer Blacks because out there his race will not be as much of an issue, i.e. the GOP has not used Fear the Black Man to increase its membership in those states. However, he can not win the country just by poaching some votes in the west, if McCain poaches working class Dem votes in the East. Obama must shore up the Democratic base all across the country. The easiest way to do that is the persuade Clinton to run with him.

Kerry/Edwards won in 2004. The election was stolen in Ohio and Florida. The press had to hide the exit polls in order to disguise the theft. By December 25% of America knew it had been stolen. The last numbers I saw said that 40-50% of Americans knew the 2004 election was stolen.

Picking a popular presidential candidate has always been a good way to increase the turn out of the base, especially when that candidate has the support of a different demographic. It worked for JFK with LBJ in 1960.

Obama is a fool of he does not run with Clinton. Normally, I would say there is no chance that he would pass up the opportunity. However, I am afraid that there are too many egos involved in this election, and too many people who would rather lose than compromise---even though losing means a lot of hardship for a lot of people.

15. Nope, and only dopes who can't think for themselves and/or critically, plus...

Democratic Party hacks continue to demonize Ralph Nader by accusing him of somehow being personally responsible for shrub & slimey stealing the previous two Presidential elections. Blaming Nader, despite all of the Rethugs shenanigans, before and after the actual voting, indicates either stupidity or an agenda which includes maintaining the so-called "two-party system" at all costs.

Fear of other political parties, like the Green Party or other progressives, appealing to many of those whose votes the Demos have counted on, but taken for granted since FDR, is what motivates most organized Nader bashing.

Ad hoc stupidity by those parroting these anti-Nader talking points is as crucial to limiting intelligent discussion as are the activities of those cretins who regurgitate Rethug talking points like they have some credibility. Ignorance and blaming the victims are the strengths of these fools, as pathetic as that is. That their twaddle gets any traction on supposedly "liberal" sites like here on DU is equally pathetic and those who engage in this exercise should be ashamed.

Ralph Nader is now, and always has been, a true American Hero.

How many lives have you saved?

How much have you done to protect every consumer from rapacious corporate gangsters?

How much heat are you willing to take for standing up for the ideals which once made this a great nation?

These selfless activities, to which he has dedicated his life, are why he is being demonized!

He is one of the original anti-corporate crusaders, that is why he is demonized!

He was one of the first to warn about the consolidation of media ownership, that is why he is being demonized!

Ralph Nader had absolutely nothing to do with either Gore and/or Kerry losing their elections. They were responsible, no one else but them and their campaigns, except the Rethug criminals who subverted the whole process in Florida, Ohio and the SCOTUS, and we know by now who they were and it sure wasn't Ralph Nader.

Hell, neither party would even allow him to participate in the so-called "Debates".

They knew that was where he could have "stolen" the whole shebang!

21. He's a lying con artist who actively campaigned for Bush in 2000
whether he helped Gore lose or not isn't the issue--he tried.

He's a millionaire who denies he's a millionaire. He's so anti-corporate that he lobbies for his own corporate interests on Capitol Hill, and owns millions in corporate stock, some of which he purchased from companies he targeted and then backed off--can you say shakedown? Google and you shall learn.

I believed in him once, but watching his routine and doing my own research convinced me otherwise.

24. You are lying about absolutely every bogus allegation you aver!

I just "Googled" and none of your B.S. was corroborated on Wikipedia. NONE OF IT!!!

What is your agenda, why do you lie so maladroitly? Stupidity or ignorance? Inquiring minds want to know!

Are you counting on everyone on DU to be sheeple and swallow your calumnies whole?

Which of Nader's "corporate interests" has he lobbied for? Credible link(s)?

Which of his millions in "corporate stock" (as if there was any other kind of stock, only corporations issue stock!!!) was purchased from companies he had targeted and then "backed off" from.

Who or what corporation has ever been a victim of a Nader "shakedown"? Any credible link(s)?

Of course he tried to "help Gore lose". Duh! Ralph Nader was also a legitimate presidential candidate, of course he was in the race to win. Why not? There isn't any issue here just stupid misdirection and specious comments. In fact Gore did a hell of a lot more to insure that Nader couldn't win that election! The democrats tried to keep Nader's name off the ballot in many of the states! The Demos conspired with the rethugs and refused to even allow him to participate in the so-called "debates"!

When did he deny that he is/was a millionaire? Any credible link(s)?

Where did you do your research? Liberty University? Oral Roberts? Uranus?

Yup! Probably somewhere in upper Uranus!!!!

You even lied about that too! You obviously haven't done a lick of actual research about Ralph Nader.

As I said before up thread, You ought to be ashamed!
