My Veep Choice, for those who want to know!
Edited on Tue Aug-19-08 12:24 PM by FrenchieCat
See, I don't have a "problem" with any of 'em, cause I want to win.

If you want to win too, you'll adopt this attitude as well....
cause like Tara Bank says, Attitude is 1/2 of everything.

Just be ready to do some research and to start defending whomever it will be,
cause you know the GOP smear machine will be up and running even before the last letter
of the Veeps name is typed into the text message.

We are going to win this election......But we need all hands on deck! :patriot:

BARACK OBAMA IS 44!

3. I like most of 'em
Could live without pictures of Evan Bayh or Sam Nunn, honestly.

14. Oh I can survive the pictures
I'm not sure the party could survive such pathetically weak VP's as those two though.

Fortunately, neither has a snowball's chance in Hell.

4. I hope it's Hillary so I can watch some heads explode.
I'm fine with whoever it takes to win (except a Republican).

I trust Obama will choose who he thinks will help him most to win.

7. LOL! My head will be fine as long as it isn't Hagel or Nunn.. but I think you are right
some heads will explode, but I don't think they would be voting for Obama anyway. The sensible Hillary supporters will get on board.

6. Sam Nunn is underrated, IMO
He's not my first choice. But after reading Ron Suskind's "The Way Of The World" I learned how, after he left the Senate, Sam Nunn has dedicated his life's work to going after loose nukes. He's spending his life trying to make the world safe from them. With very little staff they work tirelessly at this effort. I have new respect for him.

My previous opinion was based on my own ignorance.

It's no coincidence that Obama has sought out John Kerry, Sam Nunn and Richard Lugar. They're all involved in that same effort. That's a good sign of Obama's priorities.

8. I'll survive if it's Nunn, but I really don't think he'd be a good choice.
If he is picked, I'll assume Obama's internal polling found that Nunn would help.

11. I doubt if he'll be picked
But I'm glad Obama is talking with him. Hopefully, Nunn will have a place in the administration advising on loose nukes. He'd be invaluable at this point as it's a hair raising issue.

9. I know you are fine with anyone, FrenchieCat, but who would you most like to see?
Just curious.

I'm fine with anyone too.

I'd be happiest with Clinton or Biden.

Okay, it isn't really, I just wanted you to read this post. I feel exactly the same way, Frenchie. I'm gonna back whomever he picks, even if it's an Obama/Satan ticket!

I am Democrat, hear me roar!

20. I agree

I'm grumbling about some of the candidates, but I'll make peace with whoever it is. I haven't taken any really strong stands against any of them (including Kaine---after all he urged Virginians not to vote for the anti-gay marriage amendment. Not perfect, but good enough for someone who is against civil unions. Besides, he would not actively pursue making civil unions or gay marriage illegal, in my opinion).
