1. Well, Bush resolved that problem decisively, didn't he?
So we can stop talking about it now? :)

4. I read yesterday that a lawyer advising MoveOn
also advises the DNC, so I wasn't sure Ginsberg's dual roles really were that big of a deal. But he did resign, so someone didn't like it.

8. Wouldn't think that would be quite the same thing.
I've seen this, too, but I don't know if the DNC is considered part of the Kerry campaign, or if this really applies -- but I'm all for Republicanizing this guy's resignation, and saying, "well, if he resigned he must have known he did something wrong," since that's what they always do.

3. I'm pondering this......
I heard that too. If the repugs have nothing to hide and Ginsburg isn't or hasn't done anything wrong they why the "Swift retreat"-- (sorry couldn't help myself). I think this calls for a little further digging

6. lies and smear vs moveon org attack commercial
big difference. the swift boat way over line. if if if moveon had put hitler ad out, and kerry didnt stand up against then there would be a problem with the connection. but legally there is not an issue./ why he quit was because all the other ways swift boat and bushie are connected adn it will come out. this gingsberg is just a piece

9. Besides moveon is using it's PAC to raise hard money for ads
And the most important thing, MOVEON.ORG ISN'T LYING ABOUT ANYTHING.
Moveon= PAC=hard money=truthful ads
ACT=527=voter registration
George Soros= can take care of himself
Micheal Moore= not doing anything new

None of these compare to the Swifties. It's apples and oranges.

11. ya joanne
i thought that too, but.....listening today didnt hear the dem clarify so easily on this and would like to know exactly. i thought it was just moveon pac too, but looks like maybe a couple other groups. also i would like clarification if the two lawyers mentioned was kerry campaign, dnc lawyer or just have been with them in past. i ended up with more questions listening to dem than i had walking into interview just now

thanks. and with you

i dont see we can give up 527. i saw when they passed campaign reform it was certainly on side of repugs. we need the 527

and i love moveon, grinnin

7. Broke the law - the common vendor rule - will Ashcroft go after him?
or Bush or the Bush campaign?

I am not holding my breath waiting for Ashcroft to enforce laws that are broken by the GOP.

12. Campaign and a 527 group can not have common vendors
and legal services are "vendor"

But then they (campaign and a 527 group) are using the same ad folks - so what the hell - right?

Rules/laws do not apply to the GOP.

13. So That Explains the Resignation
What's the penalty for violating the rule? Is this some FEC thing that no one ever does anything about? Or is there some way Kerry can force the issue?
