Rick Warren: "If you can't keep your faith to your most sacred vow -- how can I trust you?"
So the Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwell, who presided over Jenna Bush's wedding, is pretty upset at Pastor Rick Warren it seems.

Reverend Caldwell said yesterday:

"Rick Warren indicated he wouldn't be comfortable voting for an adulterer," Caldwell said.

Warren had said to ABC that he would have compunctions about voting for an adulterer candidate such as John Edwards or John McCain. "If you can't keep your faith to your most sacred vow -- 'til death do us part -- how in the world can I trust you?"

So for any of you who watched Warren tonight on Larry King, did he echo those sentements, or did he not mention McLame's cheating??

Just curious ........

2. Thanks Rufus.. Warren must be another two-faced liar.

Who purposely set up the event in a manner that gave an advantage to the old relic of a candidate.

Don't worry though.

I love that so many people are now ASSuming that mcloser is a good debater now. He'll lose his bodily functions once he has to face Senator Obama in an actual one-on-one debate!

12. There were better questions asked on..
Nightline last night but the interview should have gone long and more indepth. The interviewer asked about what if the nominee was a Muslim,Buddist, atheist or other and Warren was full of it as I now can see more and more. His interview with Hannity was even more revealing he let Hannity lead him and he was glad to agree with everything.

Another thing I have a problem with is this bullshit about Black liberation theology as though everyone is following some type of white theology. From what I could see concerning this Warren guy seems to think that all black churches are some type of militant teaching of the Word and from what I did hear from Rev.Wright it was the truth as well as Pastor Pleger his dramatization of Hillary was right on point.

4. Everyone is so wound up about Edwards
John McCain is a faithless philanderer. It is amazing to see Barack Obama with his wife; he so obviously adores her. I doubt very seriously that Mrs.Obama would put up with any nonsense and the senator doesn't strike me as someone who doesn't understand the solemnity of a marital vow.

5. Anyone who thinks Rick Warren has any intention of voting for Mr. Obama
or ever DID have any intention of voting for him can come talk to me about some land I own in lower Florida.

Also, anyone who thinks Saddleback was anything other than a set up and the worst possible idea to participate in is also free to contact me...because those evangelicals will also NOT be voting for Mr. Obama.

10. our guest deserves an answer, Jack Cafferty has one for him:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/18/cafferty.mccain/index.html

It occurs to me that John McCain is as intellectually shallow as our current president. When asked what his Christian faith means to him, his answer was a one-liner. "It means I'm saved and forgiven." Great scholars have wrestled with the meaning of faith for centuries.

One after another, McCain's answers were shallow, simplistic, and trite. He showed the same intellectual curiosity that George Bush has -- virtually none.

Where are John McCain's writings exploring the vexing moral issues of our time? Where are his position papers setting forth his careful consideration of foreign policy, the welfare state, education, America's moral responsibility in the world, etc., etc., etc.?

John McCain graduated 894th in a class of 899 at the Naval Academy at Annapolis. His father and grandfather were four star admirals in the Navy. Some have suggested that might have played a role in McCain being admitted. His academic record was awful. And it shows over and over again whenever McCain is called upon to think on his feet.

He no longer allows reporters unfettered access to him aboard the "Straight Talk Express" for a reason. He simply makes too many mistakes. Unless he's reciting talking points or reading from notes or a TelePrompTer, John McCain is lost. He can drop bon mots at a bowling alley or diner -- short glib responses that get a chuckle, but beyond that McCain gets in over his head very quickly.
