Ran into a guy yesterday morning with an Obama t-shirt.
"I like your t-shirt," I said.

We spoke a moment of Obama's merits.

Next he said he hoped Joe Biden was Obama's veep pick.

That was pretty much it, but I thought I'd pass it along.

2. I agree with him.
Biden is probably the best. I had periods where I thought Sebelius, Nunn, Webb and Clark would be really good choices, but Biden was always my #1. Biden won't let the debate about national security get out of hand.

3. I'm still unsure who to guess at for the respective veep picks but
can you imagine how pale Huckabee woud get if he had to face Joe Biden on a debate stage?

Holy clueless yahoos, Batman.

6. I ran into a 17 year old girl wearing an Obama shirt
here in my Dallas suburb. It was pretty cool. She was a Hispanic young woman and I told her I liked her shirt and I swear to God, she just BEAMED and said thank you like I just told her she was drop-dead gorgeous. LOL. We chatted a bit and she said she's sad that she won't be old enough to vote for him THIS TIME (I love her optimism) but she's doing everything else she can.

7. I like very much that two great models of citizenship had such
an exchange: you and the young woman with the t-shirt.

Excellent story, EE.

10. Thanks! My 14 year old daughter was with me
and she grumbled that SHE wants an Obama shirt after we walked off. So I'm ordering a few. It's something I've been meaning to do, but this young lady reminded me I need to get on that.

8. Did you apologize first? Did you knock him down? (Apparently he wasn't hurt. Lucky.)
Ya just gotta watch where you're going.

14. Doin' fine, Cru, I remember a friend who ran into girls all the time in the hallways at work. Tom.
Tom was blind. (I used to be his ride to work ... even though he offered to drive.) Tom would hear the sound of high heels on the hard floor and 'accidentally' run into the sonar target.

Tom was blind .... not dead.

12. I ran into two AA yesterday outside my favorite Mexican restaurant, and asked if they were
regsitered to vote. They were, But, had they not been, I was ready to register them.
For anyone else reading this, if you have done voter registration or canvassing, keep a clipboard w/voter registration forms in your car when you go out. Be ready to register wherever, whenever! :)

And btw, 'Old' when phone canvassing I have been pleasantly surprised to discover the number of locals in their 70s, 80s, and 90s who are for Obama all the way. I have been amazed! And happy!

13. Excellent. Let's enroll plenty of new Democrat and roll McCain and the
Pukes in November.

I love that a lot of older voters are on board. They tend to show up and vote, too.

Soldier on under the blue banner!
