I found out something pretty cool last night. My mom's friend's daughter knows Barack Obama.

She said that they went to college together, were friends at Harvard, and had the same favorite professor. My mother's friend is a registered Republican, as everybody else is in my neck-of-the-woods *sigh*, is friends with many of the Republican movers and shakers around here, but she's also had it with Bush*, and is voting for Barack Obama in the fall. I asked her to work on my mother...;)

Did she tell any stories about the college days? It would be nice to hear from someone who actually knew Barack Obama back in college. The behind the scenes stuff that not everyone knows about. Not dirt, Barack has enough being flung his way.

8. I can talk to this lady about politics. She gets it.

It's my mother who's the problem. When I was horrified about the situation in Fallujah, my mother said that if I liked Iraqi children so much, I should go there and take care of them... ;(

But even she seems to like Barack Obama, though I'm not sure she realizes he's a Democrat...;)
