1. Joseph Biden

would be an outstanding choice. I could also see huge benefits if he became Secretary of State.

2. That's what Chris Cillizza said. Like, almost word for word.

Edit to note that I think Biden is sleazy as hell. He's no deal-breaker, but I don't think he's a good choice.

7. I would be thrilled if Biden were the VP....
Edited on Thu Aug-14-08 11:23 AM by Got WMD
Democrats tend to be too wordy when explaining and defending their policies. "A noun, a verb and 911", is a perfect example of what Biden can do in framing a debate in simple terms. Unfortunately, a lot of America needs issues to fit on a bumper sticker to understand them. As long as there are no major skeletons in the closet I prefer Biden to Bayh any day of the week... and we wouldn't lose a senate seat!!

("Yes." and "noun, verb, 9/11" from the debates) is praised the next.

10. he looks and sounds the part, and for middle voters, that's all that matters.
Middle voters don't care about the things we care about. They barely know the current VP is.

12. Biden is one of the few people that will be able to take on McCain without having to look at talking
points. And IF Obama does choose Biden for veep, pity McSurge's veep during that debate.
Even if it's Tom Ridge, Biden will smack him down.

13. I remain angry at him over the bankruptcy bill
In part because I teetered on the edge of bankruptcy 2-3 years ago, and his bill would have wreaked havoc on me. Fortunately, I found a good job and that scenario was avoided.

Having said that, I am not a single issue voter, and I realize that he brings many assets to the ticket.

15. I am one of Biden's biggest supporters and I am too.
I watched that vote go down on C-Span 2 and called him every name in the book when he voted for it.

I also called him AND Obama every name in the book when they both voted to not cap interest rates on credit cards.

I hate that he voted for it, too.

I'm glad things worked out for you. :pals:
