Once the VP nominee is known
Can we all refrain from starting a thousand new threads?

Everyone whose first choice for VP isn't the one chosen, of course you'll feel bad and maybe even feel outraged that your person wasn't chosen. Those who already enthusiastically supported the VP nominee, great. But don't gloat.

I can dream.

4. My unequivocal and Shermanesque statement is: I decline any VP nomination: if I am chosen I will not
serve. I, however, endorse general Wesley Clark for VP. Thank you.

2. Boy are you all gonna be gobsmacked.
Obama will clone himself and run Obama/Obama '08. And it will be glorious.

5. As you say, some people will be elated, others enraged.
But we all need to work through this - we CARE otherwise we wouldn't be so, uh, enthusiastic. It's a process, and it'll all settle down in a little while.

8. The VP announcement will put the kibosh on the intraparty power struggle going on now.
Can't come a moment too soon.

9. Thank you all.
Some of the posts made me laugh out loud, and that's always good.

I often think I'm on IGNORE for a lot of DU, and that's why many of my posts get no response. Which is why I so rarely start anything. But thank you all again.

Oh. And my personal favorite for VP is someone who supposedly was on the short list but is rarely mentioned any more. Sigh.

11. Don't worry,
I'll probably give a big yawn. There are only two people who would excite me and neither one will be his VP. So, I don't give a rat's tail end who ends up being #2.
