I miss looking forward to a daily dose of common sense and intelligence. It is what keeps me sane in this insane world. I need a fix!

and so I must admit........Barack, I miss you!

3. Really?
Edited on Tue Aug-12-08 12:25 PM by FrenchieCat
You sound like Wolf Blitzer and Candy Crowley rolled into one!

I enjoyed the daily retorts that Obama offered up on the campaign trail. Why is that creepy?

See, to me,
this is what is seriously fucking creepy! --->

Yet that is all I see when I turn on CNN.

2. Not at all. That's how I feel on the week-end when I realize "No Keith for 2 days."
He keeps me sane (or as sane as I'm gonna be).

5. I feel the same way
And I think it's hilarious that MSNBC is showing Olympic coverage all day long. The message....The McCain campaign is not newsworthy. }(

6. Well it isn't. All McCain does is talk about Obama....and so since Obama is on vacation,
McCain becomes irrelevant....not that he isn't anyway.

7. Honestly, I think we all needed a break from him. The M$M has been totally trashing him.
The Repukes have been attempting to turn him into a caricature, humiliating him.

I think it's an amazing strategy for him to take some time away, allow McSame to waste money running these despicable, stupid ads. I think it works in the short term but not in the long run.

When he gets back, we'll have the convention and people will be fired up again.

I have faith that Obama will come back swinging. You save your political strategy until *after* the convention. McSame has already played his cards. He has nothing else except for negativity and bashing his opponent. It's a strategy that worked for Hillary in the short term but did not really deliver in the end. All of this will backfire in my view.

I needed a break from him and the obsession from the M$M and the Repukes.

When he gets back it's time to put everything into getting things done!

8. Well I guess that could make sense......
since our media have announced that folks were tired of him....although that may have to do with overexposure throughout the intense primaries. But personally, I know that the media discusses Obama much more than providing us with his own words unplugged.

11. I feel the same way.
He couldn't have picked a better time for vacation. I think people were tired and battered by the negativity directed toward him as much as anything else. Thus he's moved up in daily tracking polls.

His campaign is ticking along nicely without him, with their new ads placed in OH, NV, WI and the counter-Celeb ad, Olympic ad and the formation of the Republicans for Obama group today, plus the excitement being built up about his VP selection.

And it's convenient that he's been out of town during the Edward's expose and doesn't have to comment daily upon it.

9. I do too but...
I think that he needs time with his family and as some time away from the public eye, so that he watch and plan his strategy for attack and so that he will be fired up and ready to go!

10. Oh, I agree that he deserves, and needs time off.
I'm just speaking for myself.

I didn't buy the media line that I should be "tired" of Barack.....just because they said so.
