1. I think Chicago would generally be his spot except for Christmas when they usually go to Hawaii.

Christmas in Hawaii doesn't exactly sound like a bad deal.

2. How about... the White House?
We're paying a shit load of money to keep that dump up and running, they could at least use the thing properly.

14. "Stateside"?!?!?! Hawaii has been a state for 49 years! Here's a vocabulary for Mainlanders...
The State of Hawaii is The Islands
The continental US is The Mainland, aka Turtle Island, aka the Big, Big Island

The Mainland, in reference to the 50th State, is never ever "stateside"

They speak English as a first language there. They use US money. They were seized as a US Territory in 1898 and entered the Union in 1959, delayed mostly by Congressional suspicion of all those brown people, i.e. Hawaiians and Asians, and ultimately persuaded by the Islands' strategic location.

Btw, it's not that bad a commute when your vehicle is Air Force One. Ronald Reagan used to come out to Santa Barbara County, CA and then chopper over our house on his way to Rancho Cielo, or whatever he called that place. Dubya has spent about half his time out in Crawford, TX, avoiding real work.

Barack Obama just doesn't seem like the type to take a lot of vacations, or even naps. But I have heard his tutu (grandma) can't travel anymore, so it's up to him to go to her.

7. The White House press corps would certainly be happy.
I know those wimps don't like going to Texas in August.

8. Thinking about the pig farm
The thing that always pisses me off is not that George has a fake ranch. That is sort of expected, given everything we know about him and his failed presidency. It's that the press willingly sets up their cameras in front of an old barn and machinery on the NEIGHBOR'S property 8 miles away from the pig farm to give the impression that George is "down home" on a old working farm. They have done this throughout his failed presidency.

10. Actually no. I suspect Obama will treat the presidency as a full time job.
We could be talking as little as two weeks vacation per year.

16. No.
Obama won't spend two years of his Presidency cutting brush in Waikiki.
