I am watching McSAME Live on CNN
making delclaritions about what Russia needs to do as if he is the president.
Now the pundits have not started talking you, but you can beat you bottom dollar
that they will say, this is good for McCain to look Official and Presidental.

But when Obama appears to "look presidental" all he gets is HOW DARE HE!!

12. Yes it has everything to do
with Obama looking like an "Uppity N_ _ _ _ _."

"He acts white to win."

And I DO NOT see racism in everything - But this is pretty obvious.

Edited on Tue Aug-12-08 11:18 AM by The Traveler
Clearly there are different standards for treatment of Republicans vs treatment of Democrats. Hell, there is apparently different enforcement of laws. When rule of law has become thus twisted, you expect the media to not play along?

8. They both look Presidential. That's not the point. Which one can lead...
...and which one will only move us in the wrong direction?

It's not presumptous to look Presidential, because they both do and position themselves to look overly Presidential.

He is not Presidential material. The Republicans had no choices this year.

18. Yup. They're so practiced on using "presumptuous" now they won't ever accidentally
use the "u" word.

But the thinking behind "presumptuous" is obvious. My mom was Southern (but not racist) and I guarantee she'd get that, too, if she were around to hear it.

11. I just saw that too - He talked about speaking with the president of GA. who he
said was a friend "for years." He basically gave a 3 minute speech on how much he knows about what just happened....It seemed oddly emotional for a speech from McCain..

The fade out was a slow wipe from McCain's image on one of their monitors to the fighting in another of the monitors, with really formal, kind of presidential music swelling in the background.....

Then the idiot fuck talking head said "We have a statement from Barack Obama, let me read some of it to you:"

He reads the statement and then explains that "We've had two or three statements from BO in the last few days over this crisis...."

I'd pay to see someone projectile vomit on this guy's suit....

14. Don't You Mean That McCain Is Good Friends With Wikpedia?
I guess McCain or someone in his camp knows how to use the internet, because portions of his speech were lifted from Wikpedia. Its not the plagiarism that is a problem. Its the misrepresentation that he is getting his facts directly from his buddies in Georgia.

20. The one I heard a while ago was live and different than the one he stole.....
He actually claimed he talked directly to the President of Georgia this morning, which apparently is more than Condi Rice has done....

This whole thing is kinda disgraceful on a bunch of different levels.

24. And actually, Obama in casual attire gave a much better statement on the Georgia crisis.
Much more appropriate to the USA as it was before the Cheney administration really wrecked out international reputation.

So yes, I agree and wonder where the press was when JSM III was acting all presidential while W frolicked at the 'lympics, since they'd given Obama such a hard time about seeming presidential during his trip to Europe.

Maybe John Sidney McCain III's obvious reading of a prepared script in a monotonous manner didn't seem too impressive to them. It sure looked boring and robotic to me.
