1. I think it's only true here on DU and some other blogs and OpEds --
Unless you've heard something differently? Don't get my hopes up!

14. I'm on a listserv and that's all that is being talked about.
I wonder if it's just a rumor? My BB was abuzz and I rushed home in midtown traffic thinking it was all over television or something. I just KNEW DU would be talking about it. OMG I'M SO EXCITED IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!

21. I think it's an internet phenom. We'd have heard if it were true.
Take a deep breath - we just have to wait until Obama texts those millions of supporters. THEN there will be no doubt!

33. Don't believe what I say --
just go see if you can find confirmation other than blogs and OpEds. I could be wrong.

Don't do this to yourself. You'll only be MORE hurt if Obama chooses someone else.

Blogs seem to be more on top of things these days than any media outlet.

Just saying...

I've had my heart ripped out soooo many times by getting my hopes up for Clark.

I'm trying not to get too excited. Two weeks ago - I told myself to forget about Clark ever getting anywhere again. Of course - then it would happen....

Edited on Mon Aug-11-08 07:55 PM by LSparkle
As he so ably proved to Bob Schieffer. That guy is a former
NATO ALLIED SUPREME COMMANDER -- he bows to no one (least of
whom Bomb Bomb McLame!).

In light of the Georgian crisis, this would be an EXCELLENT
pick. (I'm sure Clark can at least PRONOUNCE "Saakashvili"!)

26. Agree and agree --
and Clark is the ONLY one in the potential mix who could not only match, but OUTDO McCain in the military area. There's no comparison to their service.

What is the OP talking about? Makes a post exclaiming "Wes Clark is VP!!" only to ask the question in the actual post "is the rumor true?"

Horrible.

Clark would be great!! Obama/Clark would be sure winner in my opinion. The Repubs fear this matchup the most. It diminishes McCain's perceived advantage in military matters. His only big advantage.

Everyone's buzzing because the theme of Wed. Convention night is the same phrase as Clark's PAC site, but there are a lot of people who think it's another red herring.

30. There have been a dozen blow-ups so far, from Biden to Kaine to Bayh.
They're just keeping interest high. The only people who know jack shit about this are Obama, Axelrod, Plouffe, and maybe a few other close confidants. Any leaks or buzz that you read are likely to be nothing more than chum for the media sharks.

35. Clark as VP seems to be the one thing people here are in agreement on.
Not everyone, mind you, but you don't see anti-Clark posts. Just a couple people concerned that his statement about McCain several weeks ago might be a problem. I don't see it. Clark handled the backlash quite well. The man's fearless that way.
