Chris Matthews Just Asked An Extremely Intelligent Question on the Opener to Hardball
Why is Wolfson raising the point about Edwards outing would have won the primary for Clinton? Why is he ripping open the scab after the fight is over?

Those were roughly Matthews words (he used the phrase 'ripping open the scab').

Great Question. Especially given the fact that Clinton would have LOST SOONER if the scandal had broken before the primaries.

2. HE JUST SHUT WOLFSON'S WHOLE ARGUMENT DOWN! It's crashing and burning now.
He said one look at the polls shows Wolfson is COMPLETELY WRONG.

20. Thank God. Somebody in the media had to say it. Because that
was one of the dumbest things Wolfson has EVER said. And he's said and done some pretty darned stupid things in his time.

12. No, he isn't.
He's a freelance political junkie, and a dork. :)

He's simply a little kid who happens to love politics... he can be stupid at times, but he really doesn't play for any particular team.

19. They are. It's whiplash-inducing when they come on. We have
happy Olympians cheering their national anthems, cut to commercial, upbeat Home Depot ad about their Olympian employees, upbeat Budweiser ad, BARACK OBAMA IS AN EVIL CELEBRITY WHO WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES AND HURT YOUR FAMILY, happy upbeat McDonald's ad, back to the Olympics...

22. One thought warms my heart, though....
They come on the tv when many are taking breaks. "Oh, that old fool again? Time to go make a sandwich".

It hasn't occurred to his campaign that people resent being brought down. You can't even escape into the Olympics without being chased off his lawn.

15. Hee hee!
Chris agrees with me that the negative ad that McCain is running is hitting the wrong tone.

And Andrea Mitchell even said the ad is factually wrong!

17. He is all negative all the time.
I think it could hurt him if he never tells the people what he stands for or what he would do. None of that matters if the fix is in george proved that with his negative campaigns.

21. Wow. And this is the day I miss Hardball? Tweety is pretty good
when he uses his brain.

I tell ya, between the Grinch commercials and the stupid constant shots of Dubya, watching the Olympics has been a pretty sad affair. Or kind of bipolar, happy when we win and then all the sudden there's the Grinch and we crash.
