How many here don't plan to get out from in front of their computers?

How many plan to get active or are already active?

How do you folks plan to win? Prayers? Talk? maybe action?

1. I'm going to New Hampshire on Sept. 20 with a busload of Dems and Planned Parenthood

folks to talk to unaffiliated women who may not know about McCain's antichoice stance. I am paying for my own hotel room and meals. Maybe I'll change a few votes and help turn NH blue.

Did you even bother to check out the DU groups who organize the activities you suggest? No? I could tell... honestly, I could.

8. I have checked them out and then, there are the rest of the

blowhards who know everything...on line, that is. So far, no one has cared to tell me what they are doing...on the ground...to change things. Care to tell me?

Perhaps if your request was formed in a manner conducive to support rather than to bash, you'd get more responses.

There are calls for action on DU all the time... lists of phone numbers, fax numbers, etc. I call my rep's office in support of her positive actions all the time. I call and fax the offices of others when they do things I don't agree with, and I can guarantee you that a lot of DUers do the same.

I volunteered at the Democratic Convention in 2000, and I haven't stopped trying to make my voice heard since that time.

What have YOU done? Besides snarking off other DUers that is.

Not everything that is done is done with the intent of changing the world. Some is just done because it's enjoyable. DU is a community; it is not a form of activism.
