2. I bet it's Feingold.
Call it a hunch.

13. There's that, too. William Pitt generally knows what he's talking about.
I don't think he'd go out on a limb and mention Feingold unless he had a very good reason.

27. That wasn't inside info.
That was just the speculation of a plogger at TPM Cafe.

10. They have similar backgrounds and worked on ethics legislation together.
Obama said we'd have an easier time winning if nobody on the ticket voted for the war.

He said his pick wouldn't be based on geography, and that he didn't want a yes-man as VP.

Feingold has Independent and Republican appeal and is an excellent debater.

Feingold has recently been allegedly saying nice things about McCain. Why would he do that unless he was planning on attacking McCain later?

Add up the hints, and you get Feingold. I could be wrong, but my gut told me it would be Edwards in 2004, and I was right.

8. I like Feingold, but I have concerns about two senators running together.
Losing a senate seat being the most obvious one.

12. Not to worry, Governor Doyle (D) will ease your concerns.
If he can't replace Feingold outright, Doyle can run for his seat in the special election and Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton (also a Democrat) would replace him.

Even if Feingold resigned tomorrow, it's hard to see how we lose his seat.

5. Did it!
vp to 62262. I am ready. What is amazing is that many including myself have no clue who the VP candidate will be. I thought I knew so many times but now I really could make the case for about 10 different candidates. This is great in my opinion that the Obama campaign was able to keep this a guessing game right up to the end. I like Feingold, Biden, Bayh in that order but I will be happy with anyone Obama choses -- I trust his judgment.

23. They are, and that's why his team did so well.
The sanity and quality of his organization, the lack of drama, and the way they've capture the technology flag all speak very well of Obama.
