The Worst Repuke Ticket-“[McCain] loves Lieberman"
Edited on Sat Aug-09-08 07:49 AM by tannybogus
Lieberman ‘on McCain short-list’

Joe Lieberman, the former Democratic vice-presidential nominee who has endorsed John McCain, is being vetted as a potential running mate for the Republican presidential hopeful, according to an adviser to Mr McCain’s campaign.

Mr Lieberman, who has campaigned for the Arizona senator, has long been considered an unconventional but plausible choice for Mr McCain.

Although Democrats have rejected Mr McCain’s image as a maverick politician, Mr Lieberman’s support for the presumptive Republican nominee has, much to the chagrin of his former colleagues, helped to boost Mr McCain’s reputation as a bi-partisan legislator with friends on both sides of the aisle. Mr Lieberman, a staunch supporter of Israel, could also help Mr McCain win over Jewish voters.

McCain loves Lieberman. And he is on the list because Lieberman has never embarrassed anyone, never misspoken. The first rule is, don’t take someone who costs you votes,” said one McCain adviser.

I'm glad I didn't eat breakfast. That's not a short-list. Thats a Worthlist!:puke:

1. He needs a pro-life conservative. Simple as that. The GOP has enough problems with an unmotivated
base.

I can see Joe speaking at their convention, and that is it.

6. Oh please... put Lieberman on the ticket
Republicans would be as sick as I was when he was on Gore's ticket.

Lieberman has all the appeal of a wet toad. When he opens his mouth to speak, he sounds as if he's belching his words. The man's voice is a toad-like burp.

McCain couldn't make himself any less appealing than if he put his toady boyfriend Joe on his ticket. I hope he does.

I'm sure it would be a constant uttering of, "This guy was on the Democratic ticket in 2000!"

11. I'd like to see a Lieberman/Hagel VP debate. Now that would be entertaining.
And a little confusing.
