1. Please stop. Obama will pick who HE is comfortable with.
An unstoppable ticket doesn't mean a thing if the President & VP can't work together. It's his choice to make, so let him.

4. How come no one says "please stop" when people make threads for an Obama/Richardson ticket
or Obama/Biden ticket (which would be swell!, or Obama/Clark ticket?

Why only say STOP and get outraged when people suggest an Obama/Hillary ticket?

Uh, no pun intended. Oh, how the pompous, elites amongst us love to scold when you dare mention 'Hillary' and 'VP' in the same sentence. It mustn't be done here. <sniff!>

43. I beg your pardon? Where exactly did I get outraged?
I'm getting really tired of this injured dog attitude that's always thrown around whenever a Clinton thread pops up. Besides, this Hillary=VP issue is posted upwards of 20 times a day; it tends to get old. Just in case you didn't notice, whenever those 'Obama & _____' threads show up, no one comes in wailing that Obama can't win without their proposed choice. Nor are we told ad nauseum that half of the Democratic party will be disenfranchised if he isn't on the ballot. I'm going to fill you in: Hillary's supporters aren't the only one's that matter seeing as there were several candidates for the Democratic nomination. So, thanks for coming out of the woodwork to address your concern.

70. I had never heard....
of PUMA until I saw it here. I don't hear, or read about PUMA, unless someone either panics about some triviality concerning PUMA, or has gone without the lifeblood that sustains them, Clinton hatred, for too long. Like PUMA, they have placed the priority of our children's future on the second tier of importance. They have also realized that what drives their support, and weak confidence in Obama is Clinton hatred. It is the wind beneath the wings of support for our nominee. Their support is so weak, it terrifies them that HRC could become the dominant figure in the White House if chosen for the vp spot, which only leads to the conclusion that confidence in Obama's ability to make executive decisions is extremely low. I'm a Hillary supporter who is going to vote for Obama. I have no fear that she will be anything but a huge asset to Obama, and I believe it is a shame some of his primary supporters do not share the level of confidence in his abilities that I do. PUMA and others make no bones about where they stand, and I agree with the sentiment that they will have no bearing on the outcome of the election. What I do not understand are Clinton haters, who believe Obama can win without the support of 18 million democrats. Given the vast majority of that 18 million will do as I will, and let Obama's words and actions speak for itself, one has to wonder why there are those who profess support for him, but endeavor to do what they can to dissuade others who will support him, despite their loyalties to Clinton. Screaming "FUCK HER AND HER SUPPORTERS", on a daily basis does nothing to secure this nations future for us, our children, and our grandchildren. Democrats are so bent on tearing each other apart, it would be near impossible to agree to put a sock in it until after Obama is elected. After that, rip all you want. You'll have, at the least, four years to do it in. Thanks.

6. Sorry. At the convention we will choose the ticket that the party
will present to the American people to represent us. I will not cede my voice in the process.

If the top of the ticket is smart he (or she) will work to form a team that the PARTY is comfortable with and that represents our goals.

Do you really think the VP pick will be based on what goes on here at DU???? Do you really think that DUers know the relationship between Hillary and Barack? Most people don't spend the day at DU. They don't even watch cable news. What they know about Obama and Clinton is how good they looked standing side by side at the debates. And how friendly they were towards each other even after a heated debate. If Hillary is VP there will be a cheer at the convention that will be heard 'round the world.

plus he isn't sinking. a 6% win is a fucking landslide

Bill only beat Bob Dole by about 9% and Bob Dole almost didn't show up for his own campaign

It is way to far out to get nervous about some close national polls. look at the electoral map, he has a huge advantage right now

Hillary and Bill would both damage the ticket. McGaffe just put out a web ad today with Hillary's "endorsement" of him along with her "Obama has a speech he gave in 2002" attack

She disqualified herself, she can't be VP.

If you want to help him get elected please help stop this insane "Hillary for VP " meme

Pick someone like Clark and push him on everyone.

P.S. Hillary is scheduled to speak at the convention on Tuesday, that is not the VP slot.. take the hint

53. She should be the President of the United States of Love.
... Oh ... no.

That's supposed to be an African American.

74. No, you're right.
The President of the United Sates of America is supposed to be an African American.

She should be Vice-President.

I should be President of the United States of love. :hippie:

56. Pat Buchanan also wants her on the ticket
He just foams at the mouth at the thought. You can read his mind: "put her on the ticket because we got something wating for her that's a sure fired guarantee for a McCain win". He was pushing for her in the primaries for the same reason. The flames of Operation Chaos (a la Rush/GOP) are just waiting for more fuel...........

Sorry ladeyday, i'm still sour about '69 even though i wasn't born until 12 years later. eh, I do know the Cubs will be in the playoffs this year and will most likely win the world series. Gotta keep that 08 streak alive, no other team has won in an 08. wOO

59. This was all over MSM during primaries. From CNN to MSNBC, the GOP want her on the ticket
either as Pres or Veep because it seems they can take her out if she's on it. To them she's not as much of a formidable candidate as Obama and any other team.

72. I want Hillary to be president, period.
No joke here, no cutesy remark. I want her to be president, since it won't be this year, then in the future.

79. I do, too.
But this election, I want her on the ticket as VP since it's our best chance of winning.

The polls show that, the primary results showed that, and I hope Obama will put their primary differences behind him and ask her to be his running mate so we can be certain of beating McCain.

81. I wish it would happen, but I don't' see it.
I'm past the point of giving a hoot. This election has become one dreary event after the other. No one, other than Gore, would excite people as much as Hillary on the ticket. The rest of the VP candidates will elicit a collective yawn from the average voters. Only the pundits and the political junkies will spend hours analyzing his choice.

89. Never happening in this country
She blew it, she proved without a doubt she is too divisive and dishonest to ever be the Democratic Nominee.

73. Please stop, OK?
Hillary has less than -0- chance of being picked. All threads like this do is cause an uproar and more division.

95. She had a chance to do that
before she threw the kitchen sink at him.

A lot of us loved the Clintons, and talked about how much we missed the good old days of the Clinton admin.

But then they savage someone in their own party worse than they ever did any Repig.

So, they kinda messed it up for themselves. No one could blame Obama for not wanting her on the ticket after the awful things they said about him.
