Is this the reason Barack is not responding to McCain???
I just read this on electoral-vote.com and it makes sense, I wonder if it's true.

He states that McCain has to use his public funds during the primary season (i.e., before he is named the nominee) and that's why he is running these attack ads (if he doesn't use the money he loses it). Obama is using his money to build up on voter registration because he has no restrictions and his attack ads will begin in the Fall when more people are paying attention (that is, they aren't on summer vacation).

Thoughts? I'd love to know that Barack has a real strategy because I am feeling discouraged lately. I can't believe that he doesn't have a strategy because he's run such a brilliant campaign but I have been feeling very discouraged this week.

2. I've also heard that
Let McCain spend his money now and hit him in the fall. I may know someone who may know something. I'll see what I can find out this weekend.

3. I think that makes sense. And I think that all along the Obama
campaign have shown themselves to be superb strategists. So I trust that they are definitely looking down the road, not just at the right now of it.

After the conventions, McCain will be caught in a vise. We're going to hear near-constant whining about Obama not going the public financing route. No, make that constant.

But truly, there will be no limits, except what he can raise, to what Obama can spend. And really, only we political junkies are paying that much attention right now. Hard to believe, but true!

4. Isn't one of his wife's advisors from the Kerry campaign
We see how effective those advisors were.

Obama needs to start hitting at McCain...start calling him McSame. Play the video of him being happy about agreeing with a most unpopular president. He needs to define McCain as George W Jr.

5. As long as he continues to lead in the polls

I don't see any urgent reason. If he can retain his lead into september on the cheap then all the better. The Olympics actually helps here, we'll have a nice distraction for the media so I doubt we'll see much political movement.

6. Well, Obama can't go too hard on the old man.. I actually think Paris
was better at hitting on his oldness because she's a cute girlie and hot and can get away with making McCain similar to the Crip Keeper... If Obama hits too hard, he'll look like the angry, black man and he will look like a hypocrit. He needs to keep the whitty barbs in reply. Hit with some surrogates and respond to the ads. Wait till after conventions and the debates.. then if he needs to go really dirty he can... until then, I think he's better letting McCain string himself.. Look what he did the Repigs little tire inflation meme.. He finally agreed it was smart to inflate your tires and get tune ups (DUH). Something most people know and understand... who doesn't get the car checked out and change oil and filters before a long trip on vacation.. These are just basic concepts. It was a stupid gimic.

7. One problem with that
McCain can run a postive campaign ads after the convention and leave all his hard hitting nasty shit to the GOP and 527s.

McCain is hitting the nasty shit now tyring to bait Obama into the mud and than he can make a turn to a "positive" campaign after the GOP convention and let his friends do the dirty work for him.

8. Obama is Masterful. Getting WJClinton to speak
the convention shows it, just for today.

His having overcome the Democratic original lineup, then the Clinton machine, got through and neutralized some serious road blocks (Rev. Wright and less potent unexpected crap)
is making me more confident in that he has a plan for the one thing that matters

TO WIN

for all our sakes.

10. I think he has a strategy.
Let them wear themselves down early, lay low, (not that the M$M will let him) and pull an October surprise of his own.

I'm hoping he will announce a Manhattan Project style approach to the energy issues with all options to be reviewed. Only this time the investment will be to free the world from the long term pollution of carbon, and find a real solution the corporations can not dominate.

That would definately seal it up for him at this point.

11. The responses are often flat and ineffective. I don't get their strategy at all.
Obama is on the defensive way too much, and seems to be mostly taking the high road. Candidates who get defined usually blow it by the end of August. If they're waiting until the fall to unleash it on McCain, they are making a terrible mistake.
