I May Be Overly Optimistic, But Paris' Ad May Be The Beginning Of The End For McClame
Edited on Tue Aug-05-08 10:32 PM by Beetwasher
Something like this is the type of thing that could put him totally over the edge and make of him a complete farce, and that's a death knell for a politician. If this really gets traction and he becomes a total national joke, it's over. Say goodnight Johnnie.

5. Hilton endorses McClown's policy
by promoting off-shore drilling as well as Obama's so I do not see how it is a win. Would have been better if she left that crap out of it.

oversight.

13. Uh, it was for THE FUNNY
It was not about policy. She had to disagree with them both, because SHE'S RUNNING AGAINST THEM.

yeesh.

10. If the Paris ad doesn't do it, the Buffalo Shindig might.
He did not look Presidential at all today. He looked like a bumbling old guy with only half of his faculties, if that.

Touring the nuke plant sure didn't help. I kept remembering 'China Syndrome' after seeing him in that hat and coat. Nuke plants tend to bring to mind stuff like, 'Silkwood', Three Mile Island, Cherynobl, etc. NOT a good photo op.

18. It should, but.......
while I saw an incoherent raving loon trying to read a speech in Sturgis, Howard Fineman, of Newsweek, on Olberman tonight, saw the old fighting "tell it like it is" John McCain of old. He seemed to think it was actually a good thing! Said it is a culture war, and McCain is talking to his people. The blithering media still persists in trying to tell us what we're seeing with our own eyes is not true. McCain is horrifying to watch. And it's only going to get worse the further we go, unless he gracefully gives himself a stroke.

24. They laughed.
What was funnier was an earlier clip featuring McCain trying to tell a joke.

He said, paraphrasing, "Senator Obama said he wants to challenge me to a duel. I would have a lightsaber... (awkward silence)... But seriously..."

22. It Was a Devastating Ad
Blows the whole McCain ad out of the water. Very clever -- I can't believe she actually did it. It changed the whole meme on that celebrity ad as only another celebrity could manage.
