We won the Swift Boat Scumbag issue today. The best part is...
The SBScumbags have been denounced across the board, including by AWOL. They are now regarded as dirty and scummy liars.

But........they have collected a ton of MONEY since last week and will use it to make more ads. This will help Kerry since the public has moved from curiosity to disapproval and is on its way to disgust.

AWOL dragged his feet condemning them. Not only does he look like he caved but he'll continue to be associated with the SBScumbag ads. (That's why Kerry did the right thing saying AWOL didn't go far enough)

. . to where *Bush condemns the lies of the SBVT assholes.

From what I've seen *Bush only said again what he and McClelland already said, which was - all those 527 ads should be stopped.

Maybe I missed something. If so, please tell me where.

6. RW radio in my town is pissed that Bush backed down. They're saying he'll
probably lose because of it. Of course, they jam pack their whine with lies and BS. But they're still characterizing Bush as backing down.

2. * is turning it around though and asking kerry to join in condemning
even though kerry condemned all 527 ads a while ago. honestly its like a frustrating playground argument with bush. Kerry - why wont the president join me in condemning these ads? bush - its you who aint joining me in condemning them (but Ill keep funnelling cash to the ones I like)

infuriating to argue with a mindless twit like bush

7. he can maintain the high ground
but he's really going to have to sue those pusbags for libel, and soon. Let a team of libel lawyers sort out all the funding and tie those bastards to the Bush team so that he can free up his own resources to campaign.

4. Actually.....
...I think the real BFEE goal here is to shut down grassroots organizations like MoveOn.org who get small donations from people like US. Because we don't have the big donor bucks the Republicans do, the only way for us to run truthful ads is to band together and do it through 527s. That's what I see at stake here.

The other reason for the swiftliar ads is to totally distract all Merkins from the facts in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chimpy's falling poll numbers, the release of the Abu Ghraib report and the 9/11 commission's report. It's either Swifties or the Peterson case 24/7 in order to divert attention from those issues and the failing economy, higher gas prices etc.

10. True, kymar57 ...I forgot that one
It sure did take Lieboy's "missing records" off the table didn't it? Well done Mr. Rove....you evil PIG! (Sorry to insult pigs ;) )

Plus we have PROOF that Rover was involved 100% with the SwiftLiars and O'Neill from day one. THAT'S in violation of the 527 rules.

And the FACT that none of the Chickenhawks in favor of bombing the shit out of Iraq and Afghanistan served in a war.

(You can count Rumsfeld flying during peace-time as some sort of "service" I guess, and Powell who also happened to be involved in the My Lai cover up http://www.consortiumnews.com/archive/colin3.html Just one of many links on that subject.)

The rest of them were gung ho to send our children into harm's way. And I really don't buy the idea that Powell was opposed to Iraq either. He's been portrayed as some kind of reluctant saint when he's NEVER been a decent guy. They use him as the "good guy" who was "reluctant" when I'm sure he was just as delighted to think of his future portfolio just like the rest of them.

And another important thing I forgot today is the OT issue which is HUGE. Most people NEED OT just to make ends meet. Again, under the radar while Chimpy "works" at the ranch and comes out publicly to condemn 527s that are supported by "billionaires".....gee, I just got rich...I must be a billionaire too. Unless he's going to propose TRUE campaign reform he should just shut the hell up.

And sure, Soros gave money to MoveOn.org but what about Clear Channel and Murdoch and the rest of the right wing owned media? Compared to all of that....Soros is a pauper.
