Paris Hilton's Mom Talks About the McCain "Celebrity" Ad
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kathy-hilton/mccains-celebrity-ad-friv_b_116593.html

I've been asked again and again for my response to the now infamous McCain celebrity ad. I actually have three responses. It is a complete waste of the money John McCain's contributors have donated to his campaign. It is a complete waste of the country's time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next President of the United States.

1. Hehehe. She gave him money and then he used her daughter to trash Obama.

2. That's a pretty
funny comment coming from someone who donated the max amount to John McCain.

3. heh, I made an OP at exactly the same time as you.
I would have preferred that Kathy Hilton toss in an "expoitative" as an adjective.

6. That would've been great. But she did well — and I'm pleased she's not pleased.
:hi:

4. Good for her! I agree with all three of her points.
Plus I have one more. The ad presents a false assumption. Obama may be a celebrity, but he's not vacuous and stupid like Britney and Paris... he's is very capable of leading this country. Of course I wouldn't expect Mrs. Hilton to make that point. :-)

5. Her money paid for the ad that slammed her daughter.
It wasn't sequestered in an untouchable fund. It was fungible cash in the general fund used for advertising.

8. She's probably ultimately greedy enough to vote for mcstupid to keep her taxes low
so we can pay her millions in our taxes.

9. Too bad she messed up by giving McInsane money.
I hope she asks for it back, or to at least pay her daughter if they are going to use her in an ad.

10. The Hilton family's main gripe is probably....
that britney got top billing in the ensuing media attention over the ad. These people have ZERO credibility with me.

I'm still reeling from finding out that Jon Voight is a total douchebag repuke. Who woulda thunk it.

He was great in "Coming Home" with Jane Fonda.

11. Interesting She Chose Huffington Post
maybe because it's more celebrity than most liberal sites. Good for her, maybe the Hilton's will reconsider who they support with votes and money.

14. So she's more focused on the money than her daughter
All I can say is that I'm remembering my own mother right now and am thankful for her. I would have been her main concern no matter what. Of that I'm certain. Mom - I love ya!
