Leaving Obama out there all by himself. They need to step up for him and the party.

7. Kerry was great this week and Dean's been on the road...
I doubt the Clintons are willing to help much until their debts are paid off. (According to NYT, Bill wants to play hardball about that.)

Pelosi and Reid have been trying to finish the Congressional session ~ and maybe Edwards is staying out of the news because of rumors.

All that said, I wish more Dem leaders would come forward!

11. We all know your motivations, cs.... here's a hint

She's not going to be the nominee.

Obama doesn't run a campaign like she would.

Get used to it.

15. ???
Not sure what you mean, Hillary for president 2012?

Surely you don't mean the Obama Campaign.

Seriously, Friday is not the day to take action, news cycle wise, or so I've read.

And, McCain has been doing a pretty fair job of self-destructing.

Slow and steady is the Obama campaign. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

That we aren't seeing much on cable, there are efforts elsewhere, including his public appearances where he's doing just fine.

10. Wonder why Bill is so quiet? Strange, here's the much-vaunted VRWC folks
attacking our nominee with outright lies and smears, you'd think that would get a former President's dander up. He was all over attacking Obama, all across the country, every day, in every way--but can't be bothered to utter a peep now? Was he only for Hillary, or is he for the PARTY?

19. I have no doubt that
they are all, including President Clinton, taking their direction from THE CANDIDATE - AS THEY SHOULD,to be sure they are all on the same page, with the same talking points, etc. It is his campaign, and they know what they are doing!
You don't see anyone having to back track, and say idiotic things like "he doesn't speak for the campaign". Loose cannons are not an asset to the campaign.

Please, Please, Please lay off the Clintons! It is getting tiresome, even to most of the long time Obama supporters here. It has been 8 weeks since Senator Clinton suspended her campaign. She today stated she does not want her name put in nomination at the convention.

It is time to put your malice away. They have both been nothing but supportive since June 7. Take a lead from Senator Obama and try to be as gracious as he has been.

20. I think you need to calm down. I have disliked and distrusted the Clintons since the early 90s.
someone commented about Bill and people are responding to that. That is well within the rules of etiquette.

24. Oh, I'm sorry....
I thought I was posting at Democratic Underground!

Apparently I was mistaken...So let me get this straight...,at this new site, the rules are that people with an open antipathy toward a highly respected United States Senator, who garnered 18 million votes in a presidential primary, and who has now endorsed the presumed presidential nominee, and who has indicated to her pledged delegates that she does not wish her name to be placed in nomination, can trash her on a daily basis. People who were proud to have supported that Senator in the primaries, however, have no right to object and/or defend her against those daily attacks, 'cuz THIS board is devoted to Hillhate....Have I got that right?

Let it go, BC......Both President Clinton and Senator Clinton are doing what they are ASKED to do by the campaign. I'm sure that if they were going off own their own, people would complain about that too.

12. On vacation, apparently- from everything including the news since they have
clearly allowed the McShame team to hijack the media away from issues. Claire McCaskill was on Joe Scarbo this morning and did an excellent job but the rest are being strangely (and disturbingly) silent.

Then again, some of these "leaders" as we know, have also taken a vacation from defending and protecting our constitution (Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Reid, etc.) so there's no surprise there. But it is rather upsetting that we aren't seeing more outrage from folks like Dean, Edwards, Feingold, Richardson, etc. as well as Obama (who I wish would stop being so nice and start being ANGRY) are not being more aggressive in responding to the shit being slung by McShame.

Think about it- the absurdity that they are accusing the Obama campaign of playing the race card!

17. This may be an issue they want to pass
If Dems go on a full fledged attack then this fight will start to have legs and they can permanently label Obama as the "black" candidate. I think we should see if it passes and if it doesn't and they continue to bring it up then the Dems go on the attack nuclear fashion. If this passes after this week then no one will remember it come election day.

21. Because the current crop of dems (e.g. pelosi) are just as bad as the republicans bottom
line. I now see that most dems don't give a rats a**s about anything so guess what; I don't give a shit about none of them. Since they have turned their back on Obama (sort of), if he loses fine. Every so called dem who did not vote or voted for McCain or dem leader that said nothing:

GETS EVERYTHING THEY DESERVE FOR THE NEXT 4!

27. They are very quiet. Very quiet. There is no question that McCain is defining
Obama at his leisure with a new negative ad every day. There is no defense at all. Yes, Obama is raising money, but the media totally controls everything and they are locked in with McCain across the board. Those ads , even the internet one that McCain just put out there are being played repeatedly. We knew it was coming and the media has been given their orders. Their next step will be to deny time to Obama even if he wants to buy it for ads.
