He is completely off his rocker.
I hope this ad is that one step over the line that makes his campaign implode.

1. Can someone explain it to me? I'm at work now.
(sorry, I know that's annoying). Isn't this what all of McCain's advisors call him too... "The One". Why are they stalking Barack Obama?

5. Its a McCain commercial that attempts to show that Obama is referring to himself
in Messianic terms.

It looks childish and I can't believe that they are wasting their money on this.

6. LOL! It is over. the. top.
I am not sure I can do it justice. It paints Obama as a Messianic figure. It has a clip of Charlton Heston as Moses parting the Red Sea and Obama's "seal" coming through the part.

It calls him "The One". God, it's campy and rediculous. I think McWither saw a tightening in the polls, and went double down on the stupid smear ads. He is digging his own grave. Laughable, really.

Mccain, of course never appears, not even his voice.

14. what the fuck is with the campiness of the McCain campaign?
They might as well stage a live re-enactment of Showgirls with Lindsey Graham and Joe Liebermann as a metaphore for the surge or something.

John Weaver: This tomfoolery needs to stop! Heh.

8. a really over the top ad using clips
taken out of context and interspersed with even a Charlton Heston parting the Red Sea clip to mock Obama as "the Messiah"-

with the very clear words "paid for by McCain 08" at the end.

The man is bankrupt- morally and personally.

Sad old fool.

9. I don't even know how to explain this crap.
For one, they have some sort of mellow "Sister Act" gospel music playing in the background, like heavenly soulful angels.

Then, they have clouds with a sunset hue above Obama

Then they have him, out of context, saying the "light will shine down on you and you will vote for Obama"

Then they have other statements by him which would try to make you think he thinks he is "the one"

Then they have Moses dividing the red sea. (really. they really do.)

Then they ask the question, Obama may be the one, but is he ready to lead, with a picture of the oval office.

There is much more, but it is just too over the top to go into.

McCain is crazy. But will anyone call him out on it?

3. This ad is clearly intended for the Republican fundie base.
The nasty lot of them who believe in the rapture, revelations, antichrist, etc. McCain has a real problem with them, but if he can make them afraid enough, they'll vote for him.

I can't imagine anyone else who would take that ad seriously other than the Republican base.

13. Ok, that's really nasty. We may really be in the "end times"--
anything good is bad; bad is good. Anything good is shot down. Truth will be exchanged for lies. I'm Christian and I'm ill after watching this. I hope other Christians can discern the truth from the lies. This ad alludes to all of the RW propaganda that's being spread around in the churches only in a reverse sort of way. Absolutely sickening.

34. ROFL...I kinda like the video
I know they mean to mock his supporters (or fans, depending on where you live) but really it is sooo pro-Obama it's funny.

Its got the Matrix Neo thing going. "He is the one"

The best line from the movie Ten Commandments "Behold his mighty hand"

You got Obama mocking with the ephiphany line "I've got to vote for Barack"

You've got Obama saying "We are the one's we've been waiting for"

It's spot-on accurate in places and way over the top in others.

I've shown it to a few people at work and the reactions are basically the same... smiles during the video and puzzlement at McCain's attempt.

I'm an Obama supporter and I approve of that video.

41. If McCain camp thinks that comparing Obama to Moses will hurt Obama is some way

or imply that Moses (=Obama) cannot lead then this ads would fail miserably.

I haven't seen it ads except these screenshots, but if it true it would have such a negative effect.

(reply to my own comment.. how sad.)

Maybe they are trying to imply Obama did this ad instead McCain. The "paid for" is somewhat unnoticeable and the end.
