1. He smells blood.
Scarborough is a drumbeater. The Republicans see an opening and they are going to pound it to death.

2. I don't get the big deal
seriously, these ads just make them look desperate and stupid. What do you mean he smells blood? Explain. :hi:

6. The only way they can win is to take down Obama.
These ads may seem silly and desperate to us but they are crafted to appeal to the sensitivities of certain voter groups. At the very least they will firm up Republicans who are disenchanted with McCain by making Obama unacceptable.

11. possibly
but I think voter turnout will be high, all round.

McCane is going down, they are just desperate at this point. It's silly season, and the media are the ones who are pimping this stuff. Average voter doesn't care yet. JMHO.

Joey Scab is a beady-eyed little prick.

17. I hope they do,
because in the end they will look like a bunch of thugs and liars. For them to deny that they will try to scare their base is ridiculous. That is obviously the central theme to their campaign.

3. YEah, I like watching Scarborough get mad and projective...
I can't believe Mikka just sits there and takes it most of the time...if she gives him any ruffles he shuts her up quick but I like to watch her get under his skin. Joe reminds me of so many Repugs I know personally. They are nice to you until they feel threatened by your ideas and then watch out!

7. Did you hear him tell her to stop shushing him, she's not his mommy?
Second time I heard him more or less tell her to shut up. I have absolutely no respect for her. Even Willie said to him, "I can't believe you said that." He's such a pig, had to turn off...

13. They remind me of an abusive relationship
He gets angry when anyone challenges or disagrees with him. It's so over the top. She cowers when he gets like that and he tries to leave the impression that it's her fault.

9. Really, it's just a continuation of this
Scarborough CAMPAIGNS FOR BUSH in August 2004, while hosting a supposedly neutral news show on MSNBC.

14. god, he was a dick to even Andrea Mitchell
" How the HELL is that self-deprecating???!" lol. He got mad bc Andrea said that she thought the McCain campaign was the one who are injecting race into this by using "race card", and they talked about the Rick Davis conversation yesterday and she said "I don't have any problems with him, I've known him for a really long time...I didn't THINK he had one with me...!"

18. They're doing it to drown out the news of Obama's overseas bounce
McCain's ads are meant to do the same, to keep people from paying attention to yesterday's polls.

22. well, he's doing a good job and acts just like some Republican acquaintances & co-workers I know--
they treat me the exact same way and I'm not really a fighter/arguer so I kind of act like Mikka because what I could say would piss them off so bad they would give me a hard time in life. It's just not worth it to me unless I get backed into the corner...even then I'm not good on my feet...I do better with written word where I have time to think about what I want to say and how I want to word it. OTherwise, I get tongue-tied.
