Is it possible John McCain is an Atheist?

I heard Lionel say this the other day on his radio show and mentioned it to a guy who works in the same building I work in. He is a fundamentalist Christians and he said he didn't think Obama was Christian and that he was Muslim. It was a waste of time discussing politics with this guy on the level we were at but I decided to say Obama was Christian and his being a Muslim is a lie and that according to a guy on the radio McCain might be an Atheist. I pointed out his earlier attacks on Robertson and Falwell and this guys eyes lit up and he said if that is true he wouldn't vote for McCain.

Personally I could care less if McCain is an Atheist, but if he is and pretends not to be then he should be taken to task for it. I don't think this guy has ever voted in his life and I don't think he will vote this time around but his reaction was interesting. I know Lionel was just making an assumption but if there is anything to his assumption and it could be proven it would be the end of McCain's campaign. The Right Wing would freak out over that. If McCain has ever made any kind of Atheist statements in the past, they would be the perfect October surprise.

I can't remember exactly what interview. I KNOW I remember him saying that. Hopefully it can be found.
