Everyone, email the Obama campaign (if you can take the time)

Tell them to start linking McCain to Bush by fighting back with the truth via Cenk's advise. Make the differences of McCain and Obama crystal clear. It's not the low-road if Barack reveals McCain as the fraud "maverick" he is. Lets win this thing, McCain's head is about to implode with idiotic statements, time to pound him into dust.

This is a start: http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/mccainslowroadexpress/

But we need more! Tell them:

Obama says we should have a voice in shaping the country, let's let them hear ours.

1. Let's get real here, please...
Edited on Thu Jul-31-08 08:52 PM by mloutre

Please.

Obama knows what he's doing. He's been doing it very well so far. That's how he got to be the nominee, nu?

He knows a helluva lot more about this running-for president stuff than you or I do. His staff knows a helluva lot more about this running-for-president stuff than you or do, too.

Obama is smarter and more experienced at this than you or I (or Cenk) are. Obama's staff is smarter and more experienced at this than you or I (or Cenk) are, too.

So how about we just let the man and his people do their jobs without trying to armchair-quarterback them to death, huh?

Obama & Co. know what kind of campaign they want to run. So far it's been working pretty well, yes? So let's don't waste all of this huge mess o' time and bandwidth fulminating about what kind of ads they should run, or which VP they should pick, or when and how they should go negative, or any of that kind of useless online crap.

You want to help make sure Obama's campaign succeeds and that Obama is our next President?

Then put down your damn keyboards, get your boots on the ground and your hands on the phone and your put body where your mouse is.

Get out there and line up some real live voters for Obama, instead of just kvetching endlessly from the comfort of your amateur armchairs.

Trust me. Once you get used to it, it's a whole lot more satisfying than endlessly second-guessing the guy on DU.

6. Jeez, mloutre, if you're going to pick on this OP...
why not pick on every third DU post, your gentle advice would apply as well to them.

Cheer up, dude! (or dudette)

9. NP. I didn't really mean to pick on whalestoe's OP, which is obviously well-intentioned...

...it's just that sometimes the low signal-to-noise ratio gets to me sometimes here on DU (and, to be fair, on other omnibus dem/lib/prog sites as well.)

I happen to think that the Obama campaign is doing a brilliant job of taking the high road while still countering the low-road express, and I think they get far less credit for that in the netroots/lefty blogosphere than they really deserve sometimes.

But hey, it's all good between us.

And thanks for posting, whalestoe -- and *welcome to DU!*

(Most of us aren't always this cranky, honest...)

4. Yes.
But he should be busting the old man's jaw in two, not challenging him to a duel.
