So why the frenzy on Kaine. If there is anything the last 7 years should teach us is beleive it when you see it. He's just one of many still being vetted it's unwise to base so much on hearsay. Kaine might be spouting that he has had discussions but that don't make him the vp. Just wait and see is all I say. Tell then we just don't know. If folks don't want Kaine email Obama's site but really the topic is exhausted now we know nothing till he announce as far as I can see.

8. There's a flurry of activity, then it's on to the next person of interest.
And I feel that when Obama does pick a VP, there will be a lot of people posting why s/he is the wrong choice, others applauding his decision, and then THAT flurry will die down and we'll move on to beating McCain.

It's part of the process. When you care, you have opinions.

3. The frenzy was because there were leaks

It may be that the leaks were entirely on purpose as a part of the vetting process. Let the blogosphere dig deep and goggle and see what comes up as a sort of double checks. Discussions based on factual material is helpful, as the person who becomes Obama's VP has an excellent opportunity of eventually becoming President.

10. I have to believe that Obama is smarter than to choose a homophobe
as his running mate.
