Is Obama doing a, "donate before the end of July...
and you can be one of 10 people (+1 guest each) to have a trip to Denver for the DNC?"

It was in the paper 2 days ago, and I swear I read it (probably here) a few days before then. Can anyone fill me in? His donate page is just the normal one, and I'm not sure if that will count. If I remember correctly, last month I went to a specific donate page to get a shirt.

TIA

3. Thank you!
Just donated, and this time, took the opportunity to tell my story. :D
That's why it took me so long to respond.

Do I dare share? :o

4. To tell your story?
I donated earlier this month, but had no stories to tell. I don't recall them asking either.

5. I have plenty to tell, but wasn't sure which route to take... so this is what I wrote
This is at least my 4th (possibly 5th, not including merchandise) donation to Senator Obama since Super Tuesday and I wish I could donate more. My family's financial situation hasn't been so great this year, but both my wife and I have been donating on almost a monthly basis since February in small amounts and are incredibly proud every time we do.

We were not Obama supporters prior to February, but decided to attend the Boston rally held the night before Super Tuesday to hear the Senator out and give him a chance to earn our votes. We both came away knowing that knowing that this is a campaign we not only could get behind, but that we need to actively support. My experience that night was incredible, and dare I say, transformative. The speakers that night were great, but what really moved me were the people I met that night (during my 4 hour wait at the front of the line, and while inside against the barricades around the stage) - I met people of different genders, ages, economic backgrounds, political parties, and more; and every one the people I met were there for the "movement" I was just getting involved in. These people from such disparate backgrounds were not only there for the rally, but were there to become part of the campaign, and to volunteer to help get Senator Obama elected. It was the first time that I felt that I wanted to be part of a campaign; that I wanted to do more than just vote for a candidate; that I felt valued for my support.

I agree that our time is now, and I'm grateful that "we" are active, and vocal, and on the ground to make it happen.

Thank you for taking the time to read my entry.

PS: I'm also an active blogger (at times, reporter) for Obama, and if you care, here are just a few of my blogs. Please excuse the salty language in the Boston Rally blog - I promise not to bring my mother's potty mouth with me if I happen to be fortunate enough to go to Denver. My blogger name is "Sniffa" and if you want a really laugh/read, please read my last link if anything (I think even Barack may enjoy it).

I just noticed I left out a word in two sentences, and typing a phrase twice in a row. D'oh! I'm sooo not going to Denver. :(

6. That's great! I hope you get to go just for making the effort.
And PS, I'm sure the Obama campaign isn't necessarily interested in good spellers.
Good luck!

2. So is Bill Clinton...
Did you not get an email from Bill?

A donation will get you a chance to have dinner with Bill n Hill, donation to help retire her debt.

It's a brilliant idea, I've seen it before, hmmm, somewhere.

So, check you're inbox.

z --

Barack likes to tell a story about the two of us standing backstage before his speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention.

The way he tells it, he was too busy in the days before the convention to feel any pressure -- but about an hour before the speech, I could tell he was getting a little nervous.

To break the tension, right before he went out on stage I leaned in close and said, "Just don't screw it up, buddy."

We laughed. And then Barack brought the house down.

This year, the house is going to be a lot bigger. More than 75,000 people will be in Denver to be part of this important moment, and I want to tell you about an opportunity to join Barack backstage before his acceptance speech.

Ten supporters who make a donation in any amount by midnight this Thursday, July 31st, will be selected to fly to Denver, spend a couple of nights in a hotel, participate in the convention, and go Backstage with Barack. Each supporter who is selected will also get to bring a guest along to share the experience.

Make a contribution of $25 or more today and you could have your own Backstage with Barack story to tell:

https://donate.barackobama.com/backstage

Barack's speech at the convention will be a culmination of the unlikely journey that has brought all of us so far over the past 17 months.

He will call on us to come together and work for change -- not just to win this election, but to make things better for all Americans.

Seeing it in person will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I'm excited about being there, and if you make a donation of $25 or more before the deadline, you could join Barack backstage:

Thanks for everything you've done to get us here.

Michelle

If you do not wish to make a donation, you can still be selected to join Barack at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Learn more here.
