Kerry will now be asked if he agrees with * about "all 527's."

Kerry will cite some mom and pop orgs that he says have a right to have their voices heard. He can say:

"Do only official political party organizations have a monopoly on the truth? The problem, Mr. President, isn't with 527's, it's with LIES."

I would say it like this...

"People have a right to express an opinion, and join together to give a voice to that opinion. But when you lie, as the SBVT have lied, you go over the line and deserve to be condemned.

George Bush wants to take away your First Amendment right to be heard. I support that right, whether it's being exercised by the NRA or gun control advocates, the Sierra Club or corporate polluters, Pro-choice or anti-abortion groups, it doesn't matter. But they have to be held accountable to tell the truth in their ads, and they should disclose who their contributors are, for the public record."

4. I never wanted Bush to denounce all 527's

I think the Club for Growth ads were disagreeable, but not slanderous or false. In fact, he has no real power to stop a 527 ad, as that would constitute illegal collaboration. All I ever wanted was a statement denouncing these ads and their message.
