The ladies on "The View" did not leave for haitus yet
They admitted that the lies about Obama were false. They read a statement by the Obama camp in which they said the paper admitted that it was not true!

Oh and they are totally going at it over the new McCain ad. Good tv. LOL

3. heh, what did Elizabeth say? anything?
"speaks volumes about his character" my ass.

I remember once she tried to say that Obama has "never been to Iraq". and then when they came back from commercial, she had the BIGGEST pout on and said "Apparently I was wrong. And that's all I have to say about that", and smirked.

13. She was going on and on about how appropriate the ad was
She said Obama put himself out there on the covers of magazines so it was appropriate that they put him out there like that. Whoopi said she did not like how they put him on there with two white girls. Then one of them said something about how they were putting him on there with one girl that had mental problems and the other that spent time in jail. Whoopi thought it was make him the scary black man or something. She also said that Elizabeth was one of the ones urging him to go overseas (this is when they were discussing his celebrity status) and he kicked butt or something like that. Then Joy showed a picture of McCain with a celebrity. Then Elizabeth said oh you don't want to go there about associations and then started naming off "Wright, Rezko, etc". She then said something about freedom of speech. Then Whoopi said you don't even want to go there about freedom of speech because I was criticized (not the word she used but I can't remember..they were talking so fast) for that. Obviously, she was talking about her comment about Bush that caused her to lose the Slimfast job. That is all I can remember. It got quite heated but not to the point of Elizabeth crying or anything like that. Oh I think Elizabeth was screaming to make sure her point of view was heard or something. I don't think she was screaming in anger or anything. She just did not agree. Still great tv.

9. oooh, what did she say about the ad? Now I'm really curious,
give us the play by play. I ujnderstand if you don't want to though, watching the view often makes my brain bleed and I don't really feel like recapping, haha.

17. I wrote a little below. Elizabeth was the only one that thought it was
appropriate. She said he put himself out there (US Weekly, Entertainment Tonight, etc). Joy said McCain seemed jealous. Showed a picture of McCain with a celebrity and Elizabeth was like don't go there. Then she started naming off Obama's associations (Wright, etc). I think Joy said you are losing the audience and she said she did not care. She said there was freedom of speech. Then Whoopi said not to talk to her about freedom of speech and what can happen (something like that...think she was referring to her lost job due to Bush comment). Elizabeth was not crying or overly upset. She was just talking loud over them and you now how animated she gets.

14. When she was trying to get her point across regarding the ad..not in anger. she was trying to
make sure she got her Hannity talking points in. This was not upset and crying Elizabeth. Still great tv because you could tell how irritated Whoopi was getting at one point.

8. Some unofficial spokesman for that Israeli paper told that lie...
and then some conservative blogger repeated the lie.

The newspaper admitted that it was not true and the Yeshiva student who stole the note apologized.

12. Good... I wrote my letter and told them they had become Faux Noise..
and that I refuse to watch them.. and at least we do have this thing called the Internet, otherwise I would be stupider for watching them.. and that they are doing their "stepford" wives a disservice.. since those are the only women I can think of who are actually home watching them.. I'm normally at work, along with most Americans.. thank God.

18. Think it is the repeat. They are leaving for haitus soon. Joy mentioned it
a few days ago. She was complaining that she always gets sick right before they leave on haitus. So they will be leaving soon.

19. Real train wreck this morning....
whoopi trying to have a conversation about the mccain paris/britney comparison to Obama ad. lizzie, of course screeching that it was a fair comparison since Obama put his family on access hollywood or some such shit. whoopi tried to shut her down for being off topic, so liz began ranting about rezco, wright and ayers.

It was ugly. definitely worth a youtube visit.
