3. Have you ever met an Irish politician who wasn't tough?
I know I haven't.

I've read he is a very good campaigner...

5. I'm just echoing the sentiment
raised on DU today that we need a VP who does "attack".

I was kinda kidding:)

12. this would be a bad choice, IMO...
he is pro-life, plus the replacement would be a Republican Lieutenent Governor.. The Dems worked too hard to take back Virginia to give it up to Repugs.

14. He advocates pro-life, but he also agrees with Roe v. Wade.
So, who should be the VP in your opinion, a senator, governor, who?

15. I'm torn between Sebelius and Clark...
I like Sebelius more, but I want her to run for US Senate in 2010, so I'm leaning towards Clark. He is a tenacious sonnova... Also, I like Biden a lot too, but he probably has too much baggage.

16. Thanks. I have heard from Kansans (?) who love her. Same with
Virginians and Kaine.
Clark? I loved what he had to say about McCrabby, and think that should have gone places.
I will also say that prior to that incident, I have never been a fan. I loved that he had the cojones to say what he did. He should not have been shut down.

17. Thanks for the heads up
I caught it here in the West in its entirety. Just ending now. Kaine was much more relaxed and personable than I expected.

The only thing he threatens is opposition opportunity to 270.

19. Video is up at Charlie Rose now.
He's a great guy, very genuine, very smart. I can see why he was such an early Obama supporter.

He carefully explains his view on Roe v Wade:considers the decision a matter of personal liberty; opposed to its overrule. Says emphasis should be on reducing unwanted pregnancies not criminalizing abortion.
