3. They were wrong for using Paris in their attack ad but...
THIS is the video footage of their daughter that gets them upset? Really?! Alright, then.

4. He could have used the "other" footage...
But then the commercials could only run on late-night.

11. Look at it this way - McCain just pissed off a very wealthy family.
I would bet that the Hilton family are mostly Republicans. They're certainly extremely wealthy. Aren't they part of the Republican base? Now they're so mad they'll probably vote for Obama. Maybe give some campaign contributions to Obama.

Epic Fail for McCain.

5. I really don't think they have the right to get huffy.
Without being too sympathetic toward McCain, of course, I'm not sure Paris Hilton's parents get to be indignant when people use their daughter as shorthand for "vapid and famous-for-nothing"

18. She's rich
McCain is rich-bashing.

Paris Hilton is very rich,
and leggy.

She has spent her life working her fingers to the bone , being an heiress to a hotel fortune.
Exhausting!

12. Maybe that's not it.
McCain, because of his marriage, is probably considered "one of us" by the Hiltons. McCain may have violated some unwritten rich peoples' law by using that image of Paris.

Doesn't he know it is dangerous to make enemies of the rich and powerful?

Fake Paris Gets Real Serious About McCain
Posted Jul 30th 2008 6:19PM by TMZ Staff

Now it's a story.

Former Paris Hilton impersonator Natalie Reid is weighing in on the new McCain commercial scandal. She tells TMZ, "McCain is obviously jealous cuz Obama's hot."

You may now continue with your day.

this seems like it would help McCain, i hope they keep quiet
and just let Obama do his thing.

just look at the responses here "THIS is the video clip they are upset about" ? and we are people who will not support McCain at all. think of what most americans will think.

Paris Hilton is not a sympathetic figure.

14. Hilarious! Who knew that Paris Hilton Was A McCain Girl!
Doh! If Big Media was fair, this would be covered because it is so funny. However, its not, so most folks will be spared such humor, sadly.

16. Since this thread starts with TMZ
it is only fitting that it may end tonight with it. The TMZ site has been taken over with coverage of the Obama vs mccain saga. The post I find the funniest is this one with a quote from a Paris Hilton impersonator. TMZ is my "I'm bored out of my mind, let's see what silly stuff they have posted."

'Former Paris Hilton impersonator Natalie Reid is weighing in on the new McCain commercial scandal. She tells TMZ, "McCain is obviously jealous cuz Obama's hot."'
