Response to "Celeb"
Sure Barack Obama is a celebrity. So is John McCain. Any politician running for office generally can draw a crowd (ok maybe McCain has some troubles here).

Regardless, it's idiotic to compare Barack Obama to Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. He does not remotely represent anything that they do. More importantly, those who have backed Obama are not mindless idiots, nor are those around the world whom have felt compelled to hear his message. Why insult millions of people around the globe if you want any chance at uniting the country, or re-establishing our moral authority on the world stage? Why compare us to throngs of drooling internet porn surfing entertainment zombies?

The answer: McCain has no intention of uniting the country, and doesn't give a shit what anyone else thinks. He is a proven liar who doesn't understand the world around him... which is becoming more and more obvious. He is prone to gaffes. H einsults those that don't agree with him. Now he states that popularity is unimportant, and a sign of some sort of, I don't know... mental recession, maybe?

Where have I seen this kind of stubborn refusal to accept reality before?

Oh yeah. These are all behaviors George W. Bush has exhibited during his appalling and ruinous Presidency... the worst in American history.

So we're back at a direct acknowledgment that John McCain is Bush the third, except without (dare I say it) the charisma.

That's not change I can believe in.
