MSNBC Brunette host just defended Obama re: the full quote from WP

And then the Republican talking head said that many of McCain's attacks are "whiny" and ridiculous.

I thought the Dem guy did a good job defending Obama as well.

1. I'm glad you posted this, 3000
I'm sitting in my office right now, close to hysteria. I'm very worried that McCain's team is getting ahead of Obama, and it's starting to remind me of 2004.

3. Just last week the press coverage was all about what a brilliant week Obama had.
Of course, this week, they will cover the other side.

We have to keep some perspective. Week to week. Month to month.

Hour by hour will kill us.

4. Its a small start from Neg Ads to Issue Ads..McCaan has more to lose by going Neg than Obama
He got tons of skeletons and sound bites not really conducive to a winning campaign...spin to win is one thing...but if the Indies out there grow suspect/tired of Neg...you are fucked...

And David Shuster just agreed with me about the images being more important than sound.
Thanks, David.

5. Contessa Brewer. I hate how they even QUESTION if he's arrogant. I just called them at:
1-212-664-3499 to ask them to stop even asking the QUESTION if Obama's arrogant.

7. good!

I would be extra embarrassed of McCain's harping on that fucking Germany trip too, if I was a Republican. Move on. And they're already whipping out the "elitist" card on Obama, and it's only July. They have nothing. I just read on Politico that in the McCain memo they sent out about Obama's "celebrity" today , they included the tired old "price of arugula " and "he likes herbal tea and peanut butter flavored nutrition bars!" in it. No, I'm not kidding. What a bunch of babies. I expected this from them , but it seems a bit early, no? "The One"? They are so jealous, it's not even funny. But it sort of is.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0708/Continuing_on_character_McCain_camp_plays_elitist_card_on_Obama.html

from the memo-
"Only a celebrity of Barack Obama's magnitude could attract 200,000 fans in Berlin who gathered for the mere opportunity to be in his presence. These are not supporters or even voters, but fans fawning over The One. Only celebrities like Barack Obama go to the gym three times a day, demand "MET-RX chocolate roasted-peanut protein bars and bottles of a hard-to-find organic brew -- Black Forest Berry Honest Tea" and worry about the price of arugula"

9. Britney Spears, tea, nutrition bars? They are making themselves looks like six year olds.
So small, so petty.

This will backfire.

Last week on the Daily show, they showed a clip of Fox news when the Fox news anchor actually asked the conservative writer of the hour "But, some people have been saying that McCain has been making a lot of misstatements and gaffes himself, so is he partly to blame for this?" and the writer said "Whatever! People misspeak, but that does NOT change the fact that Obama is a TOTAL DIVA!" and Jon stewart said "Now THIS is a diva!" and played a clip of the Cher If I could Turn Back Time video with the hooting sailors.

The McCain camp is really making themselves sound like the goons that they are.

If you ask me, it's way more elitist to claim that midwest farmers wouldn't care about the price of Arugula.

17. WTF?
That is rich. Their nominee is married to a beer heiress, owns eight homes, and wears $520 shoes. The idiot Republicans practically worship Reagan who was a celebrity and look at who the freaking Repub governor of California is. A celebrity! The McCain campaign is just juvenile.

8. McCain is digging his own grave.
Obama is letting him do it.

For example: McCain ad says Obama wants to import more oil. Well, that's just great fuel for a response ad on the hypocrisy.

For now, let McCain fight by himself, it makes him look weaker and weaker.

Obama will respond in time, firmly, effective, with the truth and with much of John's own bullshit.

this is not Kerry redux. No way.
