Back in the old days of the political machine a VP could "deliver" a region or a state but that's no longer the case. Picking for national security experience is admitting a weakness. McSenile's foreign policy "experience" can be demystified if Obama's camp plays their cards right.
If Obama picks Kaine it will be because they work well together, plain and simple.
4. Just last Sunday on MTP Obama said he wants "someone who will ..
....tell me Im wrong" as his VP choice.
Kaine is so similar to Obama in both schooling and his general beliefs (not to mention they are close friends) I dont think he would would know when Obama was wrong on many subjects.
It seemed to me that when Obama told Brokaw that he meant he needed someone with a strong will and more political experience than he has himself.
