This is according to Fareed Zakaria's guest from France.

Wow!

2. Interesting they see him that way though...
The other guest (I need to pay more attention to their names) said that Obama is a canvas that everyone projects onto.

21. "He's the top ... he's the Coliseum ... he's the Mona Lisa ... "
"He's a statue ... in the Louvre Museum."

A candidate Cole Porter would LOVE!

Certainly a tall order for Obama to fill. I have no doubt he can live up to it though.

7. It's gotten to the point where Olbermann and Zakaria are the only shows I watch
I did catch a few minutes of MTP this morning. But it wasn't an interesting interview. Russert Lite didn't probe anything deep enough for me to watch ever again. Just more partisanship.

Curtailing my watching most shows has meant that I get more fun projects done around the house. :D

14. Zakaria was a surprise
He's been quite fair. And I like that he has Amanpour in his round table discussions from the start.

Oh, and I read a lot more, too, since cutting back on the tv! :hi:

11. Please Turn to CNN Now
I am a newly registered DU person and this is my first post. I am moved to post because the guest from France is being HONEST about negative feeling concerning our President and the positive feelings regarding Sen. Obama. What a welcome change from all the BS in the MSM this past week!

18. Hey there, welcome to the roller coaster ride called DU!
Great nickname, btw.

I see that you're from Michigan. We'll look forward to your observations since that's such an important state for national elections. :hi:

22. One More Thing on Fareed...
I watched one show in the past and literally fell asleep so I have to confess I didn't give him a fair viewing. Today, however, I've added him on my must see list along with Olbermann, etc. CNN has made my blood BOIL in the past 3 days with their trumpeting of the Repub talking points verbatim without a STRONG Democratic voice to counter the Repub view. Case in point, the supposed misstep of Obama not visiting the troops (yes, that is how they put it as though Obama NEVER visited the troops overseas) and the constant misstatement that Sen. Obama wants to withdraw troops WITHOUT regard to ANY conditions on the ground (they started trumpeting that lie after Sen. McCain co-opted Sen. Obama's 16 month timetable plan). I even wrote into AC 360 but my two very nice emails were never approved (might have had to do with me saying Dana's report was flat out wrong and her hubby or fiance was moderating the show for Andy).

I digress. Thanks for welcoming me. I am originally from Ohio and just live in Michigan now. I have been a DU lurker for 3 years, however. Keep up the emails to the MSM for their overly thuggish stance on anything connected to Sen. Obama. Also don't believe those supposedly tied polls. No one asks for the underlying statistics on these strange polls.

27. I continue to send emails based on what's posted at DU or videos
I've faced up to the fact that the MSM is part of McCain's campaign staff. They're looking out for their interests. And what I can do is to write and let them know I'm not buying it.

And, on tv, I can watch only those who I see as fair. I figure my cable box may relate back what I'm watching. If I turn the tv on when Keith is on and change the channel when it's over, it has to send a message. I see that Dan has been friendlier to Dems lately. He wants us to stay tuned when Keith signs off. If he's fair, I'll watch. If he's not - click.
