Barney Frank will run for Kerry's Senate seat

after Kerry wins the White House!

Just heard him say it on Washington Journal and I haven't heard this before.

3. That's good news.
Democrats need to gain seats in both the House and Senate. Kerry's seat is a very important one. I can't think of a better choice.

The US Senate is supposed to be a noble institution. There appears to be an opportunity to elect some potentially great Senators in the upcoming elections. Besides kicking Cheney and his assistants out of the White House, electing a high quality of senators is the most important step towards beginning to turn our country back into a constitutional democracy.

5. OOoooooh! Barney Frank!
It almost makes me wish I'd stayed in Massachusetts, just to have the pleasure of voting him into the Senate!

I've been watching him for 30 years now, from his days in the Mass. Lege skewering Repuglicans as only he can, through his House career outraging the broomstick up the bum religious zealots and now to the Senate.

He will be a wonderful addition to the Senate, standing up for ordinary Americans against the supply side class warriors and the Christian in name only religious reich.

Let's hope he's a thorn in their sides for many years.

6. An extremely effective legislator..and the first openly gay Senator.
Emphasis on "openly"...:-)

If Barney Frank runs and is elected, you DU'ers in Massachusetts will have a good man in the United States Senate.

8. He said that IF the Dems manage to take back the

House, he'd like to stay in the House and get the job of the guy who appeared with him on C-SPAN. I didn't catch the other rep's name, heard it a couple of times but it didn't enter my memory banks. Maybe he's the Majority Whip?

He doesn't think we'll take back the House, however, although he'd like it to happen.

He said there were about four people who'd probably run for Kerry's seat.

9. I think I know some of those others who may run
Marty Meehan who like most Massachuetts dems has a solid record, but of him and Frank, I'd prefer Frank.

10. Meehan
would be a good choice as well. It will be a great primary. We can only pray it happens because if it does, Kerry will be President.
