Why isn't McSame's "ape rape" comment all over the teevee news?
How many weeks did they hammer Obama over Rev. Wright, flag-pin-gate, bitter-gate, etc? And they can't spare a bit of bandwidth to tell people that McSame thinks women being raped and beaten is funny? :grr:

1. Because......
That's just "McCain being McCain". Anything he says or jokes about is just "McCain being McCain". It's what America wants!

:sarcasm:

5. Or maybe because
we live in a neo-fascist state where commercial interests and government interests are one and the same, and the media is in league to keep a good face on it. McCain is the old face (mask more like it) corporate america. And when you're so annointed, you're gaffes are swept under the carpet.

4. No,
Edited on Fri Jul-18-08 08:12 AM by Kelvin Mace
the story came from a 1986 Arizona Republic story, which McCain doesn't "remember". He doesn't deny the story.

3. I haven't even heard this reference
when did he say it? Can you give a link? (Sorry not to have kept up)

I do think his mind is going. Slips like this suggest that his prefontal lobes are impaired -- more evidence of Alzheimers.

6. It could be that, right now, Senator Obama is getting all the attention.
Senator McCain can't even buy a headline, good or bad.

11. We loves our demented refuglican leaders.
Ol' Gerry just played too much football without the benefit of a helmet. Ronnie was excused 'cause well it was a nude day in murka and we were saying no to drugs and he was standing tall etc. so what if he couldn't remember his own name? And Crash McCaint was waterboarded by those vile vietnamese so its okay if he thinks there is a country called Czechoslovakia and can't figure out the difference between Iran and Iraq. We have a moran for presidunce now, and what harm has that done? No biggie.

12. Maybe we should each send an email to the MSM outlet of our choice
Demanding that they cover it. The only place I've seen any coverage of it was on Countdown.

14. Because he said it 22 years ago?
And because the Corporate Media has an attention span of 20 minutes?

15. How many times did we hear about the fact that Obama attended Wright's church for 20 years?
The Corporate Media has only the attention span that serves to make them more $$$.
