McCain Tries to Attack Obama ... Hits Hillary
Edited on Fri Jul-18-08 06:47 AM by kevinmc
He must be CONFUSED ... McCain has been courting and having surrogates lie to Hillary supporters so that they blindly support him ...then McCain attacks Hillary’s efforts for healthcare back in 93.

McCain calls Obama health care plan 'HillaryCare'

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (CNN) – John McCain devoted a substantial chunk of his town hall meeting Thursday to drawing contrasts with Barack Obama on health care policy, stressing his opposition to the presumptive Democratic nominee's health care plan and noting the "great difference" between them on abortion.

McCain's strongest denunciation of Obama came when discussing the Democrat's health care plan, which would cost $50-65 billion per year but would not mandate insurance coverage for all adults, only children.

"My friends, we've seen this movie before," McCain said. "It was called 'HillaryCare' back in 1993, and we're not going to do it again. We're not going to have the government take over the health care system in America....."

and its not 1993 right now. All those blue collar people who got coverage from their employers aren't getting that type of coverage anymore.

2. In 1993
Most middle class people were happy or at least somewhat satisfied with the coverage they got from their employers. Scare tactics aimed at the middle class who were covered by their employers than worked. Things have changed alot since 1993. Companies increase their employee's portion of premiums every year or are not offering coverage and more and more people are going without Healthcare all together.

Not to mention the cost of medical care due to a variety of factors has increased.

Please believe this is 1993 Senator McCain....PLEASE.

4. Are you kidding?
He still thinks it's 1893. They caught him on camera wondering when President Cleveland was going to weigh in on the race.

5. Well at least he's stopped talking about the hunt for
Pancho Villa and demanding that Barack meet with General Pershing.
