But, even better, now that the Swifty's are being knocked down and discredited, he's bleating about a double standard, comparing the Smearvets issue to another and noting different treatment.

Guess which issue Commander Reynolds and the rest of his 101st Fighting Keyboardists are raising in this comparison?

He links to two discussions regarding this double standard.

Any time "AWOL" and "Bush" are mentioned together, it helps us. Simple, rote, brute force reinforcement in voters minds. Say it often enough, and people will subconsciously associate "Bush" with "AWOL."

He gets extra hypocricy points for whining about a cartoon that is unkind to the Swiftees, after he's spent two weeks supporting their smears against Kerry.

Can they please just come up with ONE SOLDIER...can't they even find one willing to LIE for bush???...that will say bush was there for that missing year.

His own commanders say nope, never saw him, never heard him.

And this is the same thing as trashing every veteran, every soldier, their medals and their service? Accusing Kerry of being a traitor, lying by saying Kerry accused Vietnam soldiers of atrocities...this is THE SAME THING as asking bush to explain that one year lapse in his records????!!

We don't bother asking him to explain taking a multi-billion dollar F-102 for joyrides which would have then and would now land anyone else into the brig for a very long time.

We don't bother asking him to explain his refusing a piss test or being grounded; we don't bother asking him why he lied & said he "flew with my unit for several more years" when in fact he flew for 18 months and then was grounded.

We ask him to explain that missing 12 months in his records or produce someone who even saw the idiot there.

And we get "the dog ate his records just for that one period...oops never mind, we found those records...they show bush wasn't there and wasn't paid for that one year??? Are you sure??? HEY LOOK!!! CODE PINK!!!"

That's the most damaging thing to W about this; I can't see any way he can get around that.
