Obama voted for the FISA bill - EVERYONE PANIC
SO WHAT?

Really people - I made a earlier post that people are focused WAY too much on FISA and starting to doubt Obama as the nominee - HELLO people - he is NOT GOD - he's simply a politician doing his job, like everyone else. What's more important - that Obama, if elected, WILL order a thorough review of the FISA bill and have Congress adjust the law (even removing the retroactive immunity for CIVIL lawsuits) to satisfy the people.

I'd rather focus on the economy and the weak dollar that has been problematic for a long time than the FISA - we've had this law for over 30 years, and it's not about to change anytime soon. All you are doing is panicking over the fact that the Chimp administration is abusing it - and will continue to abuse it for another 6 more months until Chimp is finally kicked out in Jan 20, 2009.

Relax, people, even Obama will order the newly and duly appointed Attorney General to fully investigate ALL crimes. I'm getting tired of the concern posts about the FISA & Obama. The REAL person to blame for even bringing it to the floor is Senator Harry Reid - and you should be bitching at him, not to Obama. Yes, Pelosi is also to blame for this sorry-assed bill as well as Rep. Hoyer. However, two weeks before Obama is fully and duly inaugurated (and it's about friggin time for a REAL elected president) - the new 111th session of the Congress will be stronger in terms of Democratic power - meaning both Pelosi and Reid will be dumped for someone who can show Democratic leadership.

All you have to do is RELAX and focus on the task at hand right now.

2. Right now Obama's job is to get elected and I trust his instincts
Your post nails it.

But the purity trolls and clinton dead enders won't read it.

I want Obama appointments on the Supreme Court that ultimately decides the constitutionality of this FISA abortion, not nine Scalia's put on there by little McCain.

3. Is this FISA fiasco some indication to you that Obama is actually going to
work in your best interest on the more important stuff later on?

4. Obama already made the statement that he will have the FISA law
reviewed and fix it with a even better law and revoke immunity for telecoms.

6. You figure that's before or after the generals say it's okay to end the war?

10. I Trust his decisions...

I'm not gonna flip-flop ! I'm with Barack all the way!

FISA doesn't scare me that much! I already know that my emails can be read by third parties, then there is ID theft, credit theft,
one company selling my personal information to another. Should I be mad that I can't sue the phone company?

Barack is making decisions to try and win this thing! Modifications to the FISA bill can be made when Barack wins.

As far as violating the constitution - well GB and DC have been doing that for close to 8 years now.

So now everybody gonna start bitching about FISA?
