John McCain is a walking contradiction on Iraq...

First of all, he says he doesn't really care if we are there for a hundred years. Then he gives his spiel about civil war breaking out in Iraq if we leave? That is why we have to keep our troops there. Then he says he supports pulling out some of our troops out when there is "victory"? He never says what would constitute victory. Then he criticizes Obama for stating that he wants to pull out the troops in 16 months.

It is becoming more and more obvious that McCain doesn't know what the hell he wants in Iraq. Does he want our troops to stay forever? We can only assume he does when he says he doesn't care if we are there for 100 years if our troops are not being killed. I suppose that is what he means by "victory"? Our troops will never be pulled out of Iraq if John McCain is President because if there is continued violence, it would not be wise to pull the troops out and if there is no violence, there is no need to pull the troops out. If it's raining, we can't fix the roof and if the sun is shining, it doesn't need fixing. Pretty simple, huh?

There is a stark difference in the positions of the two candidates. One wants to keep our troops in Iraq and one wants to pull our troops out. The truth is that we cannot afford to keep our troops there even if we wanted to. If there is a decrease in violence, that is the best time to start our withdrawal. There will be no "perfect" time. But one thing we can count on, so long as American boots are on Iraqi soil, they will continue to be killed.
