Is it me or is this #3? How can all 3 be bad vets and lose to a guy who never went?

There is a pattern here, a trend, its use deception to win, not really the American Way but then, who cares if we smoking cigars?

The art form was perfected long before they got hold of it. They're just more tenacious at clinging to their lies -- and they'll repeat them long after they've been debunked, knowing eventually repetition gives a lie credibility, whether it actually makes it true or not.

4. They are indeed looking to take out a third vet, a third HERO,

with their slimy attacks on Kerry. First they went after a man who was a POW for, what, five years? McCain was tortured and suffered great privations as a POW in the "Hanoi Hilton." But they didn't care, he was in their way so they attacked.

Then they went after a man who came home from that war with horrible wounds. Cleland served in combat in the war Dubya avoided in the TANG (a safe, easy tour he didn't even finish.) Cleland's a man who came home without legs and missing one of his arms as well. They didn't care, he was in their way, so they attacked.

Now they're after a third hero, a third decorated veteran, a third man who went to Viet Nam and was in combat, a hero who saved a life while risking his own. Kerry MUST fight back, for himself, for Max Cleland, for John McCain, for all the men who went and all the men, and women, who didn't go but who know what's right.

That war was wrong and I opposed it strongly but I've never demeaned the men who went. They were caught up in something awful and they deserve great credit if they behaved with honor. Chickenhawks deserve nothing.

who left three limbs in Nam, and the decorated commander of a vessel meant to draw enemy fire. All three attacked to advance the political career and agenda of a cowardly, worthless slacker, who did not even complete his stateside NG duty. The "Bushies" are beyond contempt.

8. Two Hate Groups...Common Cause

First, you have the Rove goons...hateful of Democrats and "libruls" who got the best girls, threw the best parties and were more popular. Call it the revenge of the nerds as these assholes look back on the 50's as the "good old days" of Ozzie & Harriet and the 60's & 70's as the dark ages.

Then you have a group of Vietnam vets who have lived with being looked on as losing that war...primarily by their glorious WWII VFW lodge brothers and the other knuckledraggers who called them babykillers and losers. These guys have carried a grudge all their lives triggered by this war that is being unleashed, and unfortunately right now it's bearing down on the U.S.S. Kerry.

It's sad we still have to fight Vietnam 35 plus years later, while the same mistakes are being made in Iraq. But, of course, 70 million RNC/Rove dollars flying around will do all they can to distract and cover that mess up.
