onemorevote.org......something like this could make a difference
if people pledge to not only vote for Kerry, but also get one more person to vote as well.

"In the 2004 Presidential Election, I will do anything and everything within my power to (1) timely register and vote for John Kerry and (2) find, at a minimum, one more person to do the same who might not have otherwise voted (your One More Vote)."

Here is what happened in Texas 2000

14.9 million could have voted

3.8 million voted for Bush

2.6 million voted for Gore

11.1 million Texans did not vote for Bush

If each one of the 2.6 million of us who voted for Gore in 2000 pledged to bring One More Vote in 2004, Bush could certainly lose Texas!

3. got one extra vote yesterday
my sister in law will be an american citizen in time to vote in her first election and she will vote for Kerry. But unfortunately we're in Idaho so I don't think Kerry stands a chance here.

4. Maybe not,
Edited on Fri Aug-20-04 05:24 PM by Q3JR4
but I've signed up my sister, her husband, my mother, and various other young men and women in Idaho. In a few days, we'll (me and my grandfather) be tracking down hispanics in the Southern end of Idaho who have never voted in an election before.

The numbers could work out here, especially with the wave of Californians that have arrived in the last few years. If enough new voters can be signed up, Bush could very well loose Idaho as well.

Heh, wouldn't that be a kicker?

5. I hope your right about that
but there are some serious right wing nut jobs in this state. Although in the not too distant past Idaho has voted in some democratic politicians before. So it's not unheard of.
