McCain Has Big Lead In Georgia: New Poll
Bob Barr not polling very well. The Barr Effect is not a sure thing. Polls are all over the place, though.

1. Maybe he'll get Zell Miller's endorsement.
That should bring the mental patients to Grandpa's corner.

3. Not a big deal. It'll be swing states like MO and VA that will decide the election

4. We lost Georgia by 17 last time. This shouldn't be a huge shock.
Georgia is in the category of "If it is competitive, damn they are in trouble."

5. My guess is that they are assuming the AA vote will be similar to previous elections.
This state, like most southern states, has a huge percentage of black people. He might not win here, but it will be much closer than the Republicans would like.

9. Right - which will force them to spend money in places they normally
don't have to.

6. The Ron Paul effect is growing
They won't be voting for McCain and might end up voting for Obama or Barr. Or just staying home, hence the polls will overestimate McCain's support.

7. Compared to their previous polls
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/ga/georgia_mccain_vs_obama-596.html#polls
Obama is at the same place he was earlier in June but has gained 4 points from May when he was down 14

8. If Obama can keep within 10
he keeps McSame spending money there. I love to see the light pink of all those repuke States, McLame is going to have to raise a lot of puke cash to compete this year.

10. 10 points?
When Obama is up by 10 it is "tied" or "close"
