My simple response to the new Smearboat ad
For starters they don't even point out how Kerry said this based on the testimony according to Kerry, from 150 honorably discharged vets.

This is the section they leave out.

I would like to talk, representing all those veterans, and say that several months ago in Detroit, we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged and many very highly decorated veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia, not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command....

They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.

You know the rest.

Being that they were POW's I find it incredible that they do not acknowledge the fact that while their good Repuke friends left them out there to die, Kerry was working tirelessly to find them and get them home.

McCAIN:  Well, he and I have been friends for a number of years because of our efforts on POWs and MIAs which was a very hot issue back in the early 90’s, a lot of people have forgotten about it, but it was a- and we worked together to try to resolve that issue and I appreciate the work that he did on it.  And, so it’s not unusual for us to have conversations.

(Just to really prove it to the freeps this is outta their own damn "news" favorite)

How exactly does pointing out the sick behavior of draftees that shouldn't have even been in Vietnam when they cut and raped women and brutalized innocent villagers constitute "helping the enemy?"

Yea those sick individuals that performed those acts did the Viet Cong's job for them.

2. Yeah
This is one of those debates (Vietnam) where there is so much smoke that you can really go any direction you want. Some people are going to dismiss Kerry simply because they've watched Rambo a few too many times. That's not that great a thing.

4. EXCELLENT POINT about Kerry working with McCain to bring POW's home
They both worked incredibly hard on this TOGETHER. That's the way REAL Americans demonstrate their patriotism.

Ask if these pug POW'S didn't want to be brought home?

5. Sorry but my simple response to the sb ad is
"Do you want to talk policy or do you want to talk trash? Grow the f*ck up." (This is not directed at you, Noah, it's directed at any idiot who can't see this for the bullsh*t it is.)
