John McCain’s (Secret) Gay Meetings
John McCain’s obviously not ready to come out for the gays. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has kept up a series of off-the-record meetings with the Log Cabin Republicans.

We’ve known for a while that McCain and the gay GOP group have been holding talks, but apparently things are getting serious. Too bad everyone’s remaining mum:

Log Cabin President Patrick Sammon confirmed his meeting with Senator McCain earlier today.

A source with close ties to the Log Cabin Board of Directors provided information about the meeting to GayPatriot earlier this week. This source disclosed that the Log Cabin meeting was not reflected on Senator McCain’s published schedule in advance and the meeting. A second source familiar with the Log Cabin-McCain meeting reports that Senator McCain has routine personal meetings that are not shown on the Senator’s public schedule.

The specific timeframe of the Sammon-McCain meeting is not completely clear, but appears to have taken place within the past couple weeks or so.

Log Cabin President Patrick Sammon confirmed the meeting with Senator McCain in email correspondence with GayPatriot earlier today: “We’ve had a series of productive meetings with the campaign since Sen. McCain won the nomination—including a recent meeting with the Senator. We expect to have more conversations with the campaign as we head toward November.”

Sammon and his fellow Log Cabinites have yet to endorse McCain, so obviously they’re not ready to come out for him, either. Don’t you just love the smell of shameful, forbidden political love?!

McCain: Ignore the Christians and Love the Gays
By: Jacob Dawson

After John McCain ousted two prominant Christian leaders, Pastors John Hagee and Rod Parsley, from his campaign, he has now decided to seek the edorsment of the large Republican homosexual community known as the Log Cabin Republicans. A homosexual website is confirming that John McCain met with the Log Cabin Republican President. McCain made the meeting a secret by not posting it on his schedule, and not confirming the meeting, however the Log Cabin Republican President Patrick Sammon has confirmed that the meeting did take place.

So let me get things straight, John McCain rejected the endorsements of two very popular Christian leaders who stuck their neck out to win him the nomination, but now is meeting with prominant homosexual groups to gain their support. It appears to me a couple of things are happening here:

1) John McCain knows that Evangelicals are not the richest people in the world and thus if he were to reach out to them he would not raise very much money, which is needed. And homosexuals, particularly Republican homosexuals are very wealthy.*

and

2) John McCain is trying to distance himself away from Conservative Christians as much as possible. He knows that he does not line up us ideologically, and he no longer needs us to sure up the Republican nomination. Basically, he could care less about us.

But here is the problem Senator, YOU NEED US! There is no way a Republican can win the Presidency without the huge turnout from Consevative Christians.

*Anyone who has so much money at stake that they're willing to sacrifice their rights and dignity to become a Log Cabin Republican has gotta have a LOT of money at stake.

How much money would it take to buy-away YOUR right to marry?

6. LCR's could fill a back room at IHOP and still have room for the local garden club.
